Clinical Observation Of Kidney-warming And Liver-soothing Therapy In Treating Depression With Kidney-yang Deficiency And Liver-qi Stagnation

Objective : Through observing the clinical effect of warming kidney,regulating liver and relieving depression decoction on depression of kidney deficiency and depressed liver syndrome,we studied the effectiveness of warming kidney and regulating liver method in the treatment of mild and moderate depression of kidney deficiency and depressed liver syndrome,so as to expand the thinking of clinical medication.Methods:Sixty-six patients who met the diagnostic criteria were randomly divided into a test group and a control group,33 cases in each group.The experimental group was given Wenshen Tiaogan Jieyu Decoction.The control group was given sertraline hydrochloride tablets(Zoloft).The treatment course in both groups was 4 weeks.The Hamilton depression rating scale(HAMD-24),self-rating depression rating scale(SDS),the Chinese medicine kidney deficiency and liver stagnation syndrome symptom scale and SF-36 quality of life evaluation questionnaire were used to observe the changes before and after treatment.SPSS26.0 was used for statistical analysis and the adverse reactions during treatment were recorded at any time to observe their safety.Results: A total of 63 patients were finally included in the study due to poor compliance and active withdrawal of participants,including 32 cases in the experimental group and 31 cases in the control group.After four weeks of treatment observation,the total effective rates of the experimental group and the control group were87.50% and 83.87%,respectively,and the HAMD-24 and SDS scores were significantly decreased.The two groups of treatment could improve depression with equivalent efficacy(P > 0.05).The total effective rates of the two groups in TCM treatment were 93.75% and 70.97%,respectively.The experimental group had a more significant effect in improving the kidney deficiency and liver stagnation(P < 0.05),especially in the symptoms of soreness and weakness of waist and knees,fullness and tightness of hypochondriac rib,intolerance of cold and cold limbs,hyposexuality,clear and long urine,and anorexia.The drugs in both groups could improve the quality of life of patients.The experimental group was superior to the control group in improving physiological function(PF),physiological function(RP),body pain(BP)and general health status(GH)(P < 0.05).Both groups had certain drug safety,and the incidence of adverse reactions in the experimental group was lower.Conclusion:Wenshen Tiaogan Jieyu Decoction has a clear clinical efficacy in the treatment of mild and moderate depression(kidney deficiency and liver stagnation syndrome)without significant side effects.It can significantly improve the depressive symptoms and promote the quality of life of patients.Therefore,the treatment of depression from the perspective of warming kidney and regulating liver is worthy of in-depth study and application.
