OBJECTIVE:To investigate the relationship between intercellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1)gene Polymorphisms and susceptibility and prognosis of ischemic cardiomyopathy(ICM).METHODS:Sixty-four patients admitted to the First Affiliated HosPital of Xinjiang Medical University for ICM between January 2017 and January 2019 were selected as the ICM group,and another 138 patients with healthy physical examination were selected as the control group.The genotyping technique was applied to detect the single nucleotide polym orphisms at six loci:rs12462944,rs281430,rs281434,rs3093030,rs5491 and rs923366,and the correlation with the susceptibility and prognosis of ICM was analyzed by statistical methods.Results:(1)TC,TG,HDL-C,NT-proBNP,LVEF,smoking and type 2 diabetes were statistically significant(P<0.05)in the ICM grouP compared with the control group.rs5491 locus variant genotyPe AT frequency was higher(P<0.05)and allele T frequency was higher(P<0.05)in the ICM group than in the control group.dominant genetic model in the dominant genetic model the frequency of the variant genotype(AG+GG)at locus rs281434 was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).(2)Multi-factor logistic regression results showed that type 2 diabetes,rs5941 locus AT genotype was an independent risk fact or for the development of ICM(OR=5.433,3.428,P<0.05)and high level of HDL-C was a protective factor for ICM(OR=0.192,P<0.05),with the risk of ICM in AT carriers being 3.428 times(95%CI:1.517 to 7.747).(3)Multi-factorial Cox regression results showed that increased NT-proBNP levels,decreased LVEF levels,and AT genotype at rs5491 locus were risk factors for cardiac death(HR=1.861,0.917,5.075,P<0.05),and Kaplan-Meier survival curves showed that patients with ICM with AT genotype had a higher 3-year risk of death was higher in Patients with AT genotype ICM compared to AA genotype(log-rank P<0.05).Conclusions:Variants in the ICAM-1rs5491 genotype increase the risk of ICM,and patients with AT-type ICM have a worse prognosis than AA-type.
