Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPP) confirms the manufacture process, necessary manufacture resource and time etc. of products, it is the bridge between Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM), and it plays a very important role on product quality, manufacturing cost and fast response ability in market of enterprise.Under the distributed, heterogeneous and dynamic enterprise application environment, supporting the fast innovative development process of new products and satisfying the diversification demand of products are the key problems that contemporary CAPP technique faces. Based on these problems, the dissertation has put forward the contemporary CAPP information management strategy -PLM-oriented Web-based collaborative process planning.Base on the thought of product lifecycle management, the dissertation probes the Web-based collaborative mode and method of CAPP under the distributed, heterogeneous and dynamic enterprise application environment. Supporting the evolve of product information in all lifecycle and the fast innovative development of new products have important theoretical value and practical significance for shortening the product development cycle, reducing cost of products and raising products quality of agile manufacturing enterprise. The key issues studied and conclusions deduced in the dissertation are as follows:1. By the analysis of the process of manufacture information and the trend of CAPP development, the dissertation points out that CAPP system has to be developed as contemporary CAPP system with the characteristics of intelligent process planning and management, supporting PLM-oriented Web-based collaborative work. The contemporary CAPP system has five major characteristics: multi-level in structure, multi-phase in time, distributed in geography, non-symmetrical and uncertainty in information and fast dynamic in process.2. Base on the analysis of present research of Web-based CAPP, the importance of process planning in a product lifecycle and the collaborative value networkconcept model of manufacturing enterprise, this dissertation is the first to present the strategy of contemporary CAPP information management that is PLM-oriented Web-based collaborative process planning in the distributed, heterogeneous and dynamic enterprise application environment. The strategy's concept, main ideas and solution are expounded and five collaborative views of PLM-oriented Web-based collaborative CAPP are discussed as design collaboration, production collaboration, business collaboration, resource collaboration and knowledge collaboration.3. Contemporary CAPP is a process workflow management system based on internet and supporting synchronous cooperative process planning. The dissertation puts forward the process-oriented multilayer collaborative CAPP model and collaborative CAPP function model. The mechanism of synchronous cooperative process planning based on the function model includes the synchronous edit, session management and communication mechanism of collaborative CAPP.4. The problem of manufacturing resource configuration and optimization faced to contemporary CAPP can be divided into two levels: the optimization and configuration of process task division and reconfigurable manufacturing cell. The optimization and configuration of reconfigurable manufacturing cell has three parts: the build of Web-based manufacturing resource database, the optimization of manufacturing resource and the Web-based cooperative process route planning. Moreover, based on the research of the configuration and optimization of reconfigurable manufacturing cell, the dissertation points out the information model of manufacturing resource of collaborative CAPP, the game theory optimization model of logical manufacturing cell and the mechanism of the knowledge-based rapid Web process route planning.5.
