The pavement is an important component in road,its quality is more important especially. Applications of asphalt pavement are spread in the range of the world as its superior road performance. The national economy developed at top speed resulted in the traffic rapid increased, the tendency of large-scaled and overloaded vehicle and traffic channelization and so on brought about asphalt pavement faced on severe test. Though the factors that result in the destroy are very much, the performance of asphalt is an important part. But the index system isn't perfect and it is different in different countries. So it is necessary to research the asphalt performance index.Based on the systematic analysis of the asphalt index system and the grade basis, I deal with some test about unmodified asphalt, modified asphalt and aging- asphalt. Three general index (penetration, ductility, softening point), Viscosity, measuring-stress ductility, consistency and SHRP test are included.In addition to T800, consistency is correlation to the high-temperature performance of asphalt. 45℃or 60℃consistency test and rut test show the consistency of unmodified asphalt and the regression viscosity of modified asphalt can appraises more usefully the asphalt high-temperature performance. At the same time, based on the consistency of different degree, the sensitivity index can be obtained that is similar with PI. And precision is higher.For force ductility test, it not only obtains the ductility but also the force and work. Through analyzing curve, we think that measuring-stress ductility can appraise usefully the low-temperature performance of asphalt. Compared with the stiffness of SHRP, the index of force ductility determined is as flow. (1)Unmodified asphalt: useful compliance D1 /F0 (energy W1 or Inclined rate ratio∣K0/K1∣);(2)modified asphalt: energy rate ratio W2/W1,compliance D/ FZ or (F1- FZ )/(F0- FZ),etc.Through RTFOT and PAV test, the aging regulation of asphalt and the influence of aging factor are analyzed. The effect of aging time, heat, oxygen and water is indicated, and the aging of modified addition is involved.Through mixture test, the rationality of performance index is further confirmed.Through test and analysis, the asphalt performance is discussed. This is a basis for the use of new index in our country.
