Today, for all enterprises competition becomes more and more drastic according to the globalization of economy and technology growing fast. Some facts reduce the capability of enterprise. For example knowledge loss because of expert's demission, repeating mistakes and repeating a creations because of no accumulation of product design knowledge, the number of parts rising fast because of no knowledge reuse. In order to resolve these problems enterprise must implement product design knowledge management. But now research on knowledge management and practice of knowledge management had not give a good method of implementing knowledge management. Based on project of knowledge management of matching design key technologies supporting product design knowledge including knowledge integration and knowledge supply flow and knowledge application are studied in this paper.For having continuous competition in market, enterprise must continuously and rapidly launch its new product which would be accepted by market. So, enterprise must implement rapidly and continuous product innovation. So, enterprise must continuously get new knowledge, accumulate and use knowledge which enterprise had. So, enterprise must implement product design knowledge management. For resolving the shortcoming, this paper put forward a infrastructure of product design knowledge management. Based on the infrastructure, the three key technologies which are knowledge integration, knowledge supply flow, and oriented-product design knowledge management were studied. All studies support knowledge management for enterprise on method level.In chapter one the need and realistic meaning of knowledge management is put forward. Chapter one summarizes the history of research on knowledge management and points out the shortcoming of current research on knowledge management which is lack of a good method of implementing knowledge management. Based on the analysis this paper put forward the research direction which supports knowledge management on the method level.In chapter two, a reference model of knowledge management is put forward. Based on the formula of knowledge management the effect of each elements of KM is analyzed. The architecture of product design knowledge management which is composed of knowledge application, knowledge management, and knowledge source is put forward. Elements of knowledge architecture are discussed.From chapter three key technologies supporting product design knowledge management are discussed.(1) Technology of knowledge integration. After analyzing the demands of product design knowledge integration a knowledge model is introduced which include knowledge carrier and knowledge information and knowledge scenario. Based on the knowledge model a 5-step method of knowledge integration is put forward which include knowledge correcting and knowledge standardizing and scenario expanding and knowledge abstracting and knowledge relating. The method put forward organizes all product knowledge regular. It facilitates reuse of knowledge and knowledge transfer and development of ability.(2) Technology of knowledge supply flow. Predefined knowledge supply flow and runtime knowledge supply flow are introduced based on the difference between different knowledge requirements. According to knowledge applicant and objective of knowledge supply flow six types of knowledge supply flow pattern are elicited. Method of establishing knowledge supply flow and its operational pattern are discussed. The technology of knowledge supply flow can realize the accumulation of project knowledge, and expertise transfer, and it resolve the problem of knowledge loss.(3) Technology of knowledge application. The method of knowledge application based on standard process is put forward. For rule knowledge which can be fused in system, the automatic application method based on the restriction between rules is put forward, and the method can improve the application efficiency. For design case a regular control process with three phases realizing three-level knowledge application is put forward and the process can improve reuse of design case. A mechanism of searching part which include priority code, feature parameter code and reuse frequency is also put forward. For design knowledge a reuse pattern based on the relation between knowledge is put forward.Based on the project of enterprise knowledge management, methods and theories mentioned above were applied on the project of matching design of diesel engine. The result of project case proved that methods and theories put forward in this paper are right and contribute expertise transfer, and accumulation of experience and knowledge of project, and decrease of the number of part, and knowledge reuse.Chapter seven summaries the research results of this paper and the possible directions of future work are also put forward.
