Today's water conservancy is the continuing history of water conservancy, also the foundation of water conservancy in the future. Former of the water conservancy development contains a number of successful experiences and the lesson of failure, which includes not only the natural evolution, also the development of society and the impact of flood control policy. It has important reference value to today's water conservancy, particularly to the science decision of the macroscopic problem.The gains and losses of the water conservancy affect economic development, the demarcation of the economic region and the layout of the development. Its gains and losses not only need to understand actual conditions, also requires all historical experience. Water conservancy field, for the reckoning of the flow of the flood peak in the Songhua River, recur to the comprehensive study of historical, archaeological and hydraulics, which become the gist of the design of Northeastern large-scale water conservancy projects such as Nierji. There is no doubt that the history of water development in particular the modern history of water conservancy development has a direct help to realistic wide scientific problems. Because of the effects of large-scale human activities on natural and the reaction, it becomes clearer on the time dimension. Therefore, the history's value originally is very essential.This article starts from inspecting the region of the Songhua River valley as the center, the core content is the activities of the Songhua River valley water resources development for nearly 100 years of modern (1840-1949). The first part introduces the natural profile on the Songhua River valley, respectively recording the face of Physical Geography of the Songhua River valley, the shape and form of water system, the administrative divisions and modern socio-economic transformation and development. The second part study the results of the work of hydrological, geological mapping, and other water conservancy in the Songhua River valley, and the planning, strategy of flood control, development and utilization in the different historical periods. The third part inspected the Songhua River 100 years of history, recorded flood and drought, the causes of disasters, natural law, the local economic development, the origin and effectiveness of flood control study and the construction of water conservancy projects in modern times, and the impact of the modern governance to the Songhua River. the fourth part, according to mantie's materials and field surveys assess the Fengman and Jingpohu Hydroelectric Power Station, the Japanese aggressors designed and constructed for the plundering of resources northeast during the period of pseudo-Manchukuo. The fifth part introduces the Irrigation and urban water supply and the influence to the evolution of modern cities over the past 100 years. The sixth part inspected state of the shipping, and shipping agencies history, Channel regulation, route changes and summing up its socio-economic impact.
