Water conservancy is an important aspect of the development of the past dynasties,and since the Republic of China,the “technology for national salvation” has become the meaning of the problem.The Water Conservancy Engineering Society of China is a national water conservancy academic research community,aiming at contacting colleagues,researching water conservancy academy and promoting its construction.The members of society are mainly engaged in the Ministry of Water Resources of the National Government and the water conservancy departments of the river basins.Experts,scholars and students majored in water conservancy and civil engineering of Beiyang Institute of Technology,Northwest Institute of Technology,Central University and Sichuan University and other prestigious colleges are also enrolled in the group,constituting the professional and technical talent groups.The society expanded the organization actively and increased membership.The society commence the journal of Water Conservancy,make the Water Conservancy Engineering special issue during the anti-Japanese War and hold annual meeting and lectures.With purpose of providing medium to water research and creating platform for academic exchange.The society repeatedly submit to the National Government to promote administrative reunification of water conservancy and legislation of water rights.It advocated scientific water conservancy idea and technology,and promoted the establishment of China's first hydraulic test;elucidated the important influence of water conservancy construction and the social concern of its salvation with technology.Therefore,relying on the journal of Water Conservancy,making the Water Conservancy Engineering special issue during the anti-Japanese War and periodicals of the Republic of China,through combing the Chinese water conservancy engineering society form evolution,such as the concept and practice activities.On the one hand,the society was committed to the scientific philosophy of water conservancy;On the other hand,to enhancing the communication between water conservancy colleagues and engineer-groups and government agencies,participating in national engineering planning and construction,seeking standardization and regularization of national water conservancy projects.in order to buildChina's water conservancy engineering society three-dimensional history faces.
