This paper contain two chapters of theoretical research. Part Ⅰ-Theoretical Study & Part Ⅱ - Evidence-based medicine and systematic reviews.Part Ⅰ-Theoretical Study1. Research on the Symptoms of 《ShangHanLun》 LingGuiZhuGan Decoction & ZhenWu Decoction.The research covers the discussion on the content of LingGuiZhuGan Decoction & ZhenWu Decoction. The cause of illness:Viscera yang deficiency of the body will shoot to the heart causing shock. The symptoms are similar to that of the heart disease " ShuiXinBing" in their clinical studies.The principal symptoms are as follow:Bloatedness, Attack (qi shoot to the heart), Dizziness, Shaking of the body.Treatment:Yang qi maintains warmth for both the heart & spleen and reduces phlegm & fluid at the same time. Using of Guizhi and gancao keeps the heart warm, with Poria Atractylodes to strengthen spleen and reduce body fluid. The cause of illness:Viscera yang deficiency on the spleen and kidney for ZhenWu Decoction is due to internal water retention. In the process, it can attack the liver and heart. Attack on the liver can cause visible dizziness, shaking of the body and even fainting etc. Attack on the heart causes heart palpitation and stomach palpitation, heavy limb, edema, urination, etc. It has a similar symptom to that of the heart disease " ShuiXinBing " in their clinical studies. ZhenWu Decoction is used to warm the kidney and improve metabolism so that the kidney can get rid of the excess body fluid. Treatment:Use of Aconite to warm the kidney yang to restore its function. Atractylodes for spleen to reduce dampness, ginger to reduce water.Poria to strengthen the function of the bladder. Peony to promote overall blood circulation and reduce water retention.2. Analysis and use of 《ShangHanLun》Decoction for treatment of body fluid disease.The paper summarizes the pattern of 《ShangHanLun》 Decoction for body fluid disease. It is divided into three categories:1) Reduce body fluid decoction:warms the lungs, such as relieving cough and asthma by using XiaoQingLong Decoction. Using Lingguizhugan Decoction for Yang qi maintains warmth for both the heart & spleen to treat water retention due to the deficiency of the spleen. Use FuLingGanCao Decoction to keep the stomach warm and reduce body fluid. Use GuiZhi qu Gu jia FulingBaiZhu Decoction to treat the following symptoms:Headache, urination, bloatedness and use Guizhi jia Gui Decoction to keep the heart warm so as to reduce burping and to treat " BenTun ".To prevent " BenTun " use FuLingGanCaoDaZao Decoction to ptomote Yang Qi and to reduce body fluid and moisture. 2) Reduce water decoction:Principal Decoction to warm the kidneys and reduce water retention using ZhenWu Decoction. Principal Decoction to promote kidney Yin and to reduce heatand diuresis, using ZhuLing Decoction. ZhuLing Decoction principally reduces water retention.3) Purging Decoction:Strength of Decoction allows patient to purge fluid through motion using ShiZao Decoction. Decoction is able to expand blocked passages in the chest using DaXianXiong Decoction. For water retention from waist and below, able to purge fluid through urination and motion using MuLiZeXie Decoction.3 Research on "ShuiXinBing" "ShuiXinBing’s" concept and content:Due to deficiency of the heart, spleen & kidney, water cannot be purged from the body and is thus retained in the body which results in it becoming phlegm & fluid which will attack the heart.Heart Yang deficiency results in chest pain, palpitation, short breath and other related hearts problems. These can be observed through patient’s facial colour, tongue and pulse to verify the incidence of " ShuiXinBing"Face & Body:Serious patients will have black spots on their forehead, cheek, bridge of the nose, around the lips, jaw and spots on the body.Tongue:pale, soft or tender, watery. Pulse:tight, deep or tight and deep. Serious patients, will have irregular pulse.Important to note when diagnosing symptoms:1) Heart palpitation, will occur after food early in the morning and during sleep.Vein on the right side of the neck will be painful and will swell.2) Chest tightness during the night or cold weather with some discomfort in the throat as if there is something in it.3) Shortness of breath. Patient will feel breathless and chest tightening when they move and they will break into cold sweat.4) Patient will feel that water gushes upwards to the chest and the throat。4 Yang deficiency & symptoms of the heart & spleen, spleen & kidney analyzed and clinical studies of Congestive Heart Failure.1) Yang deficiency of the heart & spleen on the Congestive Heart Failure. The moss from the tongue is thin, white and sticky, or thin, white and watery. Pulse:deep, mild, sluggish pulse or weak and irregular pulse.Important clinical symptoms:heart palpitation, fatigue and weakness. Lack of appetite, swelling leg, short breath. Movement causes cold sweat and gasping of breath and less urination. Treatment using LingGuiZhuGan Decoction.2) Yang deficiency of the spleen & kidneyYang deficiency of the spleen & kidney on the Congestive Heart Failure. The moss from the tongue is thin, white and sticky. Pulse:deep, mild, quick pulse or weak and irregular pulse. Important clinical symptoms:Cold body temperature, Lip is dark in colour, heart palpitation, swelling leg, less urination, short breath. Patient is unable to lie flat on their back. Treatment using ZhenWu Decoction.Part II-MetaanalysisObjectivePrescription having the same research content and purpose on the randomized controlled trial literature on LingGuiZhuGan Decoction & ZhenWu Decoction treatment from both Chinese and Western and Integrative Medicine treatment for Congestive Heart Failure.The basis for classification according to the research data of literature is divided into 7 groups. The use of Review Manager-based Meta-analysis to study and compare the efficacy of treatment for congestive heart failure. Finally, evidence-based medical studies on each disease, to obtain the best results for congestive heart failure.Study1 Extracts from journal publications for the period 1949-2014, on application of Lingguizhugan Decoction and Zhenwu Decoction for treatment of congestive heart failure.2LingGuiZhuGan Decoction & Zhenwu Decoction, Western-based therapy and Integrative Medicine treatments for congestive heart failure on randomized controlled trials and journal literature.Methods of Research1 Search of Literature:Three Major data bases CNKI, CBM, VIP are set, key words as follows:LingGuiGhugan Decoction, compound LingGuiZhuGan Decoction and LingGuiZhuGan Decoction treatment ofcongestive heart failure; ZhenWu Decoction,ZhenWu Decoction compound and ZhenWu Decoction treatment for congestive heart failure.2Document Compilation:Based on the contents of this thesis, LingGuiZhuGan Decoction and ZhenWu Decoction research & application for treatment of congestive heart failure.Randomized controlledtrials of RevMan base Meta-analysis evaluation. Overall reading and sorting of randomized clinical trials, research literature on LingGuiZhuGan Decoction and ZhenWu Decoction for the treatment of congestive heart failure. 3Document Input:The statistic of LingGuiZhuGan Decoction and ZhenWu Decoction based on disease classification; application and treatment of congestive heart failure by Cochrane which consists of 7 tests to obtain the 7 best of Ultimate high quality literature. These consists3 groups of LingGuiZhuGan Decoction and 4 groups of ZhenWu Decoction. Finally, the use of Review Manager-based Meta-analysis to research and analyse these groups for treatment of congestive heart failure.4Data process through use of RevMan-based Meta-analysis and Excel:Application trajectory studies on LingGuiZhuGan Decoction and ZhenwWu Decoction.
