Study On The Development Of Chinese Ancient Medicinal Books

There are tremendous amount of Chinese ancient medicinal books, and they are been called as Chinese cultural gem because of their great amount, wide influence and enormous contribution. The medicinal books have changed a lot in their form and content during the course of the development of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), and some conserved books are not their own original books. It brings many difficulties to understand exactly and to value scientifically, there is important history and realistic significance to probe the development of the medicinal books.This paper studied the origin and development of the Chinese books, and record about medicinal books met dispersedly in all kinds of documents were collected widely, and an meticulous investigation was made in past dynasties' medicinal books compilation and publishment, especially the new accomplishment and change of the medicinal books, and the classification and characteristic of the medicinal books were summed up and summarized systematically.The study shows that TCM books developed from few to many in amount, simpleness to complexity in form and synthesis to special course in content. TCM books had different trace and feature in different times during the course of their development. There was special close relationship in the medicinal books, and enormous works came into being. Almost every medicinal book connected The Yellow Emperor's Internal Classic and The treatise on Febrile Diseases in countless ways. The medicinal books were inherited and spread by the differential relationship, at the same time, the medicinal books lacked innovation and enhanced motivity because the doctors depended on and worshiped the classics in long term.
