"Diversification Development of General High School" is not only an important reform item in high school education, but also the policy direction for General High School of our country nowadays and afterwards. But, The questions What and why the Diversification Development of General High School in theoretical field still needs to be explained more because of the dispute about the character and tasks of General High School. Except that, Most of administrators and principals in General High School are puzzled about how to implement the Diversification Development of General High School in practice, All of these are needed to thoroughly and systematically answer. The Dissertation tries to clarify the questions of what, why and how Diversification Development of General High School is thoroughly and systematically, based on visionary Leadership theory, using the way of multiple research methods, The dissertation also tries to build the implementation model of Diversification Development of General High School.First, Based on analysizing the origin, character and tasks of our country’s General High School. The dissertation finds that based on our country’s population condition to improve educational system in order to more and more people can attain excellent education not only demonstrates the basic and common qualities of our country’s General High School, but also foundation the exploring actions of China’s feature Socialist Education System, Which also put a note about the Diversification Development of General High School.Secondly, By interviewing the LEA personnel and Principals of General High School, making a survey among teachers in General High School using questionnaires. The Dissertation demonstrates, the Essence of Diversification Development of General High School is a policy vision of realizing the strategic aims of Human Resources Strong Nation from population big nation by satisfying the demands of different students with different potentials so as to make them more resourceful and talented.And last, As Visionary Leadership not only makes the foundation of modern leadership but also draws the managerial wisdom from our nation’s excellent traditional culture. So the dissertation suggests the visionary implementation model of Diversification Development of General High School are benefit for the implementation of Diversification Development of General High School. The dissertation also suggests that it is necessary to qualify the circumstances of implementation, to establish the platform of exploration and improve the system of self-evaluation during the course of implementation.There are four chapters in this dissertation.Introduction explains the reason and meaning of the topic, research aims and methods, theoretical foundation and research hypothesis. It also reviews the related literatures and explains the concepts such as Diversification Development of General High School and Visionary Leadership.Chapter One demonstrates the quality and tasks of our country’s General High School and clarifies the background and theoretical foundation of Diversification Development of General High School through exploring the origins of our country’s General High School.Chapter Two describes the real circumstances of Diversification Development of General High School in Local areas by interviewing the LEA personnel and the principals of General High School, and questionnaires among General High School teachers, which is a preparation for critical reflection in the next Chapter.Chapter Three reflects the problems behind the real circumstance in Chapter Two and points out the lack of functional leadership among LEA personnel and General High School Principals, analysis the reason behind this, then prelude the visionary leadership which focuses on the functional leadership.Chapter Four put forth the visionary implementation model of Diversification Development of General High School from three dimensions which are theoretical base of building implementation model of Diversification Development of General High School, concrete implementation model and its necessary conditions.
