The diversified development of the common high school is the trend of the current international high school education, and it is also a major development direction of our country’s high school in the future. The pursuit of diversified development is necessary for high school’s own development and survival, social development, and cultivation of innovative talents.In recent years, our general high school education has developed rapidly, but problems including mutual copying and lack of distinguishing features still exist. Most high schools show simplification and homogeneity in the aspects of education philosophy, operation mode, talent training method and the construction of campus culture, hence unable to satisfy students’ personalized and diversified development requirements or fulfill the society’s need for innovative talents. Therefore, ordinary high school education needs to step from the "single mode" towards "diversity mode", establishing individualized education system, thereby promoting comprehensive and personalized development of students. This is the efficacious way to improve education quality and cultivate advanced talents, a method that helps every students develop into ’a talent’.In view of the discussion above, this thesis probes into the necessity and specific manifestation of diversified ordinary high school education, and analyzes present factors restricting the diversification of ordinary high school education from the perspective of diversity absence. Then on the basis of the analysis, suggestions contributing to diversification are put forward.This paper is divided into four parts:The first part is the introduction of the thesis, including the reason for choosing the topic, the significance of the study, literature review at home and abroad and the interpretation of the relevant core concepts.The second part focuses on the nature of the ordinary high school education and the development of the connotation of diversity.In the third part, the paper expounds the factors that restrict the development of ordinary high schools in China, presenting a comprehensive picture of the current situation of the diversified high school education development in China.The fourth part puts forward the corresponding measures on the basis of the basic conditions of our country and the development of the whole education.
