Guided by the report of the Party’s17th national congress, China is implementing the strategy of transforming economic growth pattern and adjusting industrial structure. China’s current economic development largely relies on extensive resources consuming, and its industry structure is determined by regional resources distribution. Large power generation group, which consumes coal as the primary energy and supports national economy on energy demand, is difficult to guarantee sustainable development of economy and society by this kind of energy production and consumption patterns. Therefore, there is a critical issue for large power generation group, which are supposed to process energy secondary and provide efficient and stable energy supply, to establish the micro-deployment according to the national macro-strategy.This dissertation explores the transformation of development mode and adjustment of industrial structure for power generating enterprises in the context of serious international pressures on environment and national energy security and power industry system constraints. According to the theory of industrial economics, this dissertation investigates the influence and interaction among generation enterprises, its related industries and external environment while transforming the development mode and adjusting industrial structure, examines the economic growth laws of generation enterprises, explores the optical power structure and distribution which adapting the nation’s overall strategies. Main research work and results are as follows.1. Studied on power industry chain and supply chain, this paper analyzes the relationship between the upstream and downstream industries, researches current market structure and performance of power enterprises, explores the possibility to extend the power industries. By exploring the relationship between sustainable development and power industry, this article indicates that power investment for lower developing areas causes significant influences on its economics and society development, and moreover, the marginal utility is diminished. Based on power supply chain, this thesis investigates the operation, management and optimization of business process in power enterprises. Furthermore, it applies the life cycle assessment and life cycle cost evaluation into analysis of economic and environment impacts on power enterprises producing activities, as an auxiliary assessment and decision making method.2. Based on renewable and non-renewable energy research, my dissertation analyzes the critical energy on technical and economics. Specifically, it makes comparisons among several most used energies in aspects of technology, cost and environment. After those analyses, in this part it promotes several relevant recommendations, such as giving priority to the development of clean coal technology, devoting major efforts to developing water technology, nuclear power and new energy technology, in order to improve the sustainable development of power energy.3. Looking for solutions for power diversified and power structure optimization from macro and system angle, this paper uses target planning method combining with assumptions stories and reality phase to construct a power structure optimization and integrated evaluation model which has concerned on the relationships among economics, society, environment and energy during electricity generating process. In addition, this part proves the model’s feasibility by taking a real case, and also withdraws positive conclusions and recommendations for current power enterprises optimizing their power structures.4. Based on analysis of the layout and benefits of distributed power, this part elaborates the concept of distributed power and several different types of distributed power forms. On the level of power industry and user end, this part also analyzes the effects that distributed power have on the power system, and effects that this energy utilization way have on economics and society. Distributed power system is usually scattered and in small size, so its planning should focus on regional power planning. In this part, then this paper constructs a regional distributed power plant planning model based on Benders. We also test the model in this part. Although the results are not good as expect, some reasons can contribute to that, i.e. the selected data are special and DG are not allowed to sale online. As the national DG incentive polices carrying out and technologies and equipment updating and replacing quickly, DG will definitely play a more important role in conventional energy. Its proportion will increase, and it will become a critical orientation to implement power enterprises restructuring and production transferring.5. Analyzed of current situation of domestic and foreign coal resources, this part first investigates the feasibility of importing coal from the aspects of national policies, pattern of world coal and transport conditions. By introducing the situations of several coal imputing countries and coal international contract market, this paper persists that coal contract market as the main means of procurement, and designs the form of thermal coal contracts as reference. Secondly, considering purchasing electricity from abroad transmission lines directly, this part conducts an analysis on current international electricity trade, and introduces several countries which can import electricity, and promotes a method to compute the transfer service cost while purchasing electricity. Then in consideration of investing abroad coal and power enterprises, this paper conducts an analysis of the national policy and the two investments, and the possible risk as well. Finally, by making a comparison of those internationalization strategies, this part draws some conclusions as follows, direct import of coal is a advisable way to alleviate the energy constraints; experiment with direct import of electricity is also available near the border areas; investments to foreign coal companies should be taken as short-term strategy, while to foreign power companies as long-term strategy.
