Since the implementation of the reform and opening policy, China’s agriculture has achieved a great compliment, and the history of food shortage has gone. With the rapid development of economy, the living standard of urban and rural citizens has been increased rapidly, and people give more attention to quality safety of agricultural products than to quantity safety. Striving to develop the organic agriculture is an effective way to meet the increasing need of domestic citizens, to prominent the people’s attitude to focus on the food safety and the ecological environment, and to promote the international competitiveness of agricultural products. This thesis makes a comprehensive, systematic research on the production and supply, consumption and demand, circulation and trade and other aspects, explores the development regularity of the China’s organic industry and existing problems, and provides sufficient theoretical basis and scientific decision-making foundation for the healthy and steady development of China’s organic agriculture.China’s organic agriculture basically showed us a steady and rapid development situation, and has obvious regional comparative advantage. At the first stage of the development of organic agriculture in China, the production was mainly aimed at export to market overseas, meanwhile, the yield and the acreage were relatively low. Since 2000, the domestic market has been facing the rapid growth period, the production and the acreage were increased promptly, however, fluctuated frequently. From the aspect of regional distribution, the organic agriculture is constrated on the area of northern part of China, such as Heilongjian and Inner Mongolia. Driven by the west development, the organic animal husbandry is blossomed well in the western part of China; From the aspect of certificated acreage and production, the share of organic processing industry occupes the largest in the whole organic market.Through the survey on the production cost and revenue of organic broccoli in Feicheng City Shandong Province, we get the conclusion that the cost of organic broccoli is higher than the conventional broccoli. The main reason is the high cost of labor force, land and feed of organic broccoli. At the existing technical level, the yield per unit area is hard to get increased, and all kinds of inputs especially the labor force is on the rise in the long run, therefore, the income of organic farmers is cut down, and the revenue of farmers who plant organic broccoli is lower than the conventional farmer. Meanwhile, through the calculating and analysis on the production efficiency of organic broccoli, we know that there exists gap between the practical yield and the frontier yield, and the production efficiency is yet expected to increase.The domestic organic consuming market is opened gradually at present, however, the cognition degree and the willingness to pay of consumers to organic agricultural products are yet expected to rise. Through the investigation of consumers in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Ha’erbin, we acknowledge the situation of the cognition degree of consumers to organic agricultural products, and though the analysis on the purchasing behavior of organic consumers by Logit Model, the results show that the education background, annual income of household, whether have children or the seniors, and the cognition and belief degree of organic food are all the main factors which influence consumers’ purchasing behavior to organic products.The prominent features of the organization type of production and management of organic agricultural products in China is prompted by enterprises, which connect the farmers by any kind of ways and participate the organic production widely. According to the different connection method and the bodies, the organization type can be divided into three kinds:firm+base+farmers, firm+ cooperation +farmers, and subcontract. These three models are innovated to the traditional and dispersal management, and are beneficial to the development of organic agriculture. However, any of these three models can be named as the ideal production and management organization, which can form the mechanism of risk and benefit sharing among the producers, processors and sellers.Compared to the developing countries, the organic market is starting lately in China, and one of the main reasons is that the circulating channels are not smoothly. For the imbalance of regional economy, the area of production and consumption of organic products is dispersal, which increases the difficulty of market circulation. From the aspect of current situation, the cognition and acceptance degree should be increased through cultivating and utilizing the market circulation. There are four types of market circulation of organic agricultural products in China:Supermarket, Internet, Organic specialty store and direct selling.China’s government has achieved great accomplishment of marketing supervising through building the system of quality traceability and regulations of organic products, however, we should notice that the organic market is still on the period of improvement and development, and there are still many a problem in the government regulation.Based on the analysis concluded above, this paper puts forward the corresponding policy recommendations as following:Based on the analysis concluded above, this paper puts forward the corresponding policy recommendations as following:1. reducing the material inputs and increasing utilization rate of inputs; 2. Governments at all level should strengthen financial support to improve the development of organic agriculture; 3. Encouraging the organic farmers to expand the operation scale moderately; 4. Strengthening the support for the data collection and technical research of organic agriculture; 5. Enhancing the organic products propagandize; 6. Consummating the regulation system for organic products; 7. Enhancing the international communicating and cooperating; 8. Innovating the mechanism of operation and circulation.
