The Geography study both of The industrial structure and city space, but Theindustrial economics and city planning focus on them respectively. All the scholars, athome and abroad, paid much attention to the Coal resource-based city which as animportant city types. At present, promoting the resource-based city transformation anddevelopment, which includes the coal, is one of the important contents of Chinesetransformation and development. One of the most critical issues is how to promote the cityfunction transformation, how to speed up the adjustment of industrial structure of the coalresources-based city, achieve the sustained development. But The existing studies focus onthe coal resource-based city’s economic development transformation, industrial structureadjustment. Mainly studies are based on short time scale and three industries, which beento Macroscopic, the research of the Urban Spatial Morphology are focused on land scaleresearch of city and town group. The study is short on Exploring the Coupling relationshipbetween the industrial structure and the urban spatial morphology, have vacancy in theory,which is not conducive to promoting the coal resource-based city’s transformation anddevelopment.This paper traced the evolution of the coal resource-base city’s industry structure fromthe long time scale, taking the mining city life-cycle theory as the foundation. The articleSummarize the characteristics of the industry structure evolution, the path and mechanismof the lock-in of china, based on analyzing the production structure evolution, industrystructure evolution, ownership structure evolution and employment structure evolution ofthe coal resource-base city’s industrial sector, refining the three industry. The coal mining,electric power, chemical industry, textile industry make up the Industrial structure, which issimilar in industrial structure Evolution significantly and locking-in. The locking-inevolution process is divided into industry introduction period, weaking locking-in period,adjustment period, strong locking-in period, unlocking period, each of the5stages isdifferent. We think resource economic effect, system factors and policy leads the industrialstructure curing from3aspects including industrial structure, city function, publicperception.The article summarized the basic characteristics of the coal resources-based cities’urban spatial form evolution, based on analyzing the land use of city planning map. We also think urban space form is more dispersed, the evolution process should experiencedrelatively compact, scattered layout, gather again. The coal resource-based cities’ urbanspatial expansion have anisotropic, which extend along the main traffic line; the urbanspatial expansion process is similar in different kinds of the coal resource-based city, butalso have difference in the urban spatial expansion total, expansion rate, and the extensionstrength; the industrial Land and the residential land expand more faster than others; theresidential land instead the industrial land and the commercial and public facilities landinstead the residential land are the main form of urban internal space reconstruction. Theurban spatial expansion process seven stages including scatter development, node clusterexpansion, enclaves expanding, axial extension, interior filling, integration andoptimization, location reengineering. Each stage has its Characters. Based on microperspective, this paper starts from the space combination relationship of the main land usetypes and comes to the conclusion that the coal resource-based city has6kinds of spatialexpansion modes. In addition, this paper also considers that the spatial expansion modes ofthe coal resource-based city are various in different life-cycle stages. In the occurrenceperiod, the urban symbiotic expansion mode with mines is the dominant spatial expansionmode. In the growth period, it employs the pattern of driving the town’s development withfactories, combining factories into the town and extending constantly on the base. After themature period, the coal resource-based city adopts the new district expansion mode toachieve the evolution of spatial structure. In addition, the self-organizing extension patternhas always been throughout the development of coal resource-based city. The articlesummarized4kinds of space reconstruction model, and Analyzed the influence factors andmechanism of the coal resource-based city urban spatial expansion, we also think theCommercial land instead of residential land, the residential land instead the industrial landare the main Restructure model.Finally, the paper analyzed the coupling mechanism between industrial structure andurban spatial form of the coal resources-based city from the theoretical level, it Pointed outthat the industrial structure affect the urban spatial form through the production factor’space effect and the environment. The effect influence of each other is different in differentstages of the life cycle. Then the paper set up the coupling model and verify the influencebetween the coal resources-based city’s industrial structure succession and the urban spatialform succession. The results show that the coupling degree and the urban spatial formsuccession response degree to the industrial structure succession higher in the early andlate periods, lower in the middle period,which has been in good Coupling condition.
