Global warming is currently a hot spot with wide attention of the international community, and the carbon emission has already become the key issue restricting the global economy development. As one of the largerst emitters of greenhouse gases in the world, China made a promise of the reduction of carbon dioxide per unit GDP in 2020 with specific indexes at the World Climate Summit in 2009. On the one hand, the development of logistics industry increases energy consumption and emission of carbon dioxide, on the other hand, it promotes the intensive utinization of resources, reducing the energy consumption per unit GDP. Thus it has both theoretical and practical applications to study on the coordinate development of China’s logistics industry and the trend of low-carbon economy.This dissertation mainly includes the following five parts:First, basic analysis on the development level of China’s logistics industry is made, indicating that the added value has increased year by year. The highway carries the highest proportion of freight gross, then comes waterage and railway, and the proportions of air service and pipage are relevant low. According to the freight turnover volume, waterage comes first, secondly, the highway, and thirdly, the railway. The waterage turnover volume of the eleven provinces and cities of the Yangtze River Economic Belt carried almost a half of the freight turnover volume in China in 2012, and the fixed assets of logistics have been increased rapidly. On the above basis, an indicator system including the added value, energy consumption and freght turnover volume and so on is designed to evaluate the input and output efficiency of China’s logistics industry with the DEA model. The competitiveness evaluation index system of China’s logistics industry is set, applying the dynamic comprehensive evaluation methodology based on gain level inspiring to evaluate the competitive power of China’s modern logistics.Secondly, based on the coupling evaluation methodology, the analytical method, method of frenquency statistics and the expert-consulting method are applied to construct the evaluation index system and the coupling evaluation model of the development of logistics industry and the trend of low-carbon economy. The evaluation of the coupling degree and the coupling coordination degree of the development of logistics industry and the trend of low-carbon economy in China is done on the basis of relevant statistics from 2000 to 2012, indicating that the coupling coordination degree of the development of logistics industry and the trend of low-carbon economy in China has increased year after year.Next, industrial system and weight are constructed, and analysis hierarchy process method and grey relational analysis are applied to measure and analyze the correlation between the development of logistics industry and the trend of low-carbon of the three industries, including the the boosting effects of the logistics industry on the low-carbon trend of agriculture products mobilization, transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry, and the development of services. The result shows, the grey correlation degree between the development of logistics industry and the trend of low-carbon of the three industries is enhanced with each passing year, inflecting that the logistics industry development plays a significant role in promoting the intensive utilization of resources, and helps to reduce the energy consumption per unit GDP.Then, location quotient is applied to measure the location agglomeration degree of China’s modern logistics, and carbon dioxide discharge in relevant areas is measured. GRA is applied again to judge the correlation between the location agglomeration of logistics industry and the trend of low-carbon in relevant areas, indicating that logistics industry development apparently promotes the trend of low-carbon in areas such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong and Fujian. Yantian district in Shenzhen of Guangdong province is chosen as research object for empirical analysis of the coordination development degree between the location agglomeration of logistics industry and the trend of low-carbon economy. The result shows that currenly the logistics industry development plays a remarkable role in enhancing the mobilization efficiency and promoting the intensive utilization of resources, reducing the energy consumption per unit GDP, and could develop in phase with the trend of low-carbon economy.Finally, targeted suggestions are raised on the four levels based on above analysis: full utilization of modern technology and management method to enhance the resource intensive utilization efficiency, perfecting the legal system to regulate the logistics and its market circumstance and formulating policies to encourage the logistics industry development and the trend of low-carbon economy, full using the service functions of logistics industry to promote the trend of low-carbon of the three industries, and applying different logistics development patterns according to the local economy focus to promote the trend of low-carbon economy.
