Research On The Economic Growth Performance Of Bohai Economic Rim From The View Of Resource And Environment

Regional economic growth with high quality and efficiency is closely related to the resource environmental conditions. The Economic development of Bohai Economic Rim is increasingly constrained by environment and resources. How to balance the relationship between efficiency of economic development and quality of environment and resources in Bohai economic rim and realizing sustainable growth of the economy in this region has become an important issue. From dual perspective of resources and environment this paper reviews and reassesses the economic growth performance of Bohai economic rim. And this thesis analyses the fact that "Chinese type" economy of Bohai rim has become the new growth point of national economy to provide some theoretical support for the strategy of sustainable development of regional economy. The main contents and innovations are as follows:Firstly, carrying capacity model of resources and environment of Bohai economic rim is established. On the basis of the regional economic sustainable development idea, this paper constructs an interaction framework between economic subsystem and resources and environment subsystem. And then from the angle of system theory this thesis builds a comprehensive carrying capacity index system covering natural resources, economic environment and social environment. This paper uses entropy method and state space method to calculate the comprehensive carrying capacity of Bohai economic rim while promotes a reasonable weight selection method.Secondly, evaluation index system of economic growth efficiency of Bohai economic rim is constructed. This paper introduces "resource dependence" and " environmental pollution" into the evaluation of the economic growth efficiency during the process of measurement of the economic growth efficiency. Then the method of combining DEA and Malmquist index is used to measure the economic growth efficiency of Bohai rim. What is more, this thesis analyses the influence factors of economic growth efficiency of Bohai economic rim.Thirdly, the model of economic development potential of Bohai economic rim is established. Based on the factors such as resources, environment, education, science and technology, industrial structure and infrastructure, this paper uses the forecasting method which is the combination of grey prediction method and the BP neural network prediction method to measure economic development potential of Bohai economic rim. This method improves the prediction accuracy and provides a theoretical support for the further planning of economic and social sustainable development of Bohai economic rim.Fourthly, according to results of assessment of resource and environment carryingcapacity, the efficiency of economic growth and development potential of Bohai economic rim, this thesis deplores the problems in the economic development of Bohai economic rim. And then a plan is proposed to enhance the economic growth performance which is to promote the sustainable development of Bohai economic rim.
