Numerous rural labor migrated from agriculture sector to industrial sector is for now the most profound and significant historic change which indicates china has stepped into modern society.Now the migration of rural labor has entered into a different stage that is the arrival of "Lewis turning point". The government also put forward the slogan known as carring out agricultural modernization while deepening industrialization and urbanization. The most significant characters of agricultural modernization is the change of the intensive use of agriculture land. But binary economic theory focuses on the influence of rural labor migration on modern industrial sector, while ignoring the influence of rural labor migration on agriculture sector. Under the background of duality economic transformation, this dissertation analysis how the labor migration impacts the intensive use of rural land from the perspective of rural households’ behavior.The data used in this paper was from 1675 questionaires. The mian work of this dissertation can be separate into four part. First, we modificated the model of "push & pull" into the model of "push-pull-ability" and empirical examined how the new three factors impact the labor migration of rural housholds. Seconded,we analysis the changes of intensive use of agriculture land brought by rural labor migration and constructed a specific indicator system to calculate a comprehensive intensive use index of agriculture land. We used AHP method to calculated the intensive use index of agriculture land of Fujian province and found that the index is gradually changing towards capital-intensive. Third, we builded the internal mechanism of how rural labor migration impact the intensive use of agriculture land. Using micro quesionaires data, we showed the descriptive statistics of household’s part-time farming, farmland transfer, farm scale, the use of machinery, the use of fertilizer and the use of new technology. Also we empirically examined the impact of rural labor migraiton on labor input, non-organic fertilizer input, organic fertilizer input,machinery service input and drawed some important conclusions. Fouth, based on the analysis above, we put forward 13 useful policy recommendations.
