Recently, along with the straits of energy crisis, environmental pollution and power shortage, interest has been intensifying in the development of distributed energy system(DES) owing to its high overall efficiency, excellent environmental performance and other benefits. Combination DES with power grid is considered as the main development direction of the electricity market in the future. But the grid-connected problems have been hindering DES development for a long time. Although grid-connected legalization for DES has been officially allowed in China, many grid-connected matters are still in the lack of experience and guidance. Many literatures have studied the "hard" issues such as power system control of DES from a technical point, but few studies have researched the "soft" issues such as the microscopic behavior of stakeholders and the grid-connected strategy from the perspective of management.Thus from the point of view of system science, management science and economics, the paper first analyzes the the factors and participants of grid-connected. Then by means of the advantages of multi-agent modeling method, the complicated interest relationships and the game between DES and power grid are expressed in the form of information interaction and mutual behavior adjusting process. The win-win grid-connected strategies in different conditions are proposed via multi-agent simulation. The main research work and conclusions are as fllows:(1) Three development stages and four development modes of DES in China are proposed. After systematically organizing the relevant policies of DES, the paper summarizes three development stages of DES in China(ie.initial stage, scale implementation stage and transition stage) according to the policy content and interdependency, along with the typical cases. Thus the development track and the main problems at this stage of DES are made clear. According to the characteristics of the DES cases in each phase, the paper summarizes four development modes and presents corresponding application conditions. It can provide the research basis for grid-connected strategy in different models.(2) The key factors of grid-connected operation for DES in China are analysised. Based on the qualitative analysis of various factors influencing grid-connected, DEMATEL method is applied to conduct the correlation analysis for various factors, thus causal relations between these factors and the relative importance degree are achieved. Then the paper divides the complex hierarchical structure of the factors by using the ISM method, and determines the surface, middle and deep factors. The results show that grid-connected technology and technology maturity are the most significant influence and the most fundamental problems need to be solved for the DES development. The factors such as society recognition, the laws and regulations, production cost have the direct effect and are the most practical problems for the DES development.(3) The grid-connected cooperation model between DES and power grid is established. The paper takes the object(DES and power grid corporation) involved in grid-connected implement as two main types of agents in the power market by means of multi-agent theory, while government policies(such as price subsidies, environmental management, etc.) and market conditions(such as fuel prices, equipment prices, etc.) are taken as the exogenous variables. Multi-agent simulation model is established by the utility functions expressed by respective changes of economic interest and the interactive information between the various agents. The interest game process between both sides is showed through the continuous adjustment behavior for the purpose of a win-win situation.(4) Three kinds of grid-connected strategy and their application conditions are put forward to achieve a win-win status. The paper proposes the price subsidy strategy, environmental benefits strategy and scale merit strategy according to the important factors, realizes the simulation of the three grid-connected strategies in Java language in the mode of grid-connected and grid-uploaded, and gives the different application conditions of the grid-connected strategies. The paper’s results can be used as the references and theoretical basises for the companies cooperation and policy formulation in the primary stage of DES in china.
