Laminated bent wood chair has always been highly popular furniture products, which is a kind of styling beautiful, simple structure and technics. This kind of furniture structure has the characteristics of highly utilization rate of material and highly strength of structure. It has adapted to the trends of furniture development, and conformed to the sustainable development and environmental protection requirements. It has reduced the consumption of timber resources effectively. However the research in this form of furniture has been based on the foundation of experience and experiments which created a large amount of waste of raw material, energy and lack of scientific analysis and precise calculation datas. So, this paper studied the strength of laminated bent wood chair frame by means of theoretical analysis, computer simulation, experiment means based on the FEM, ANSYS software and optimization.According to the national standards of furniture design load determine laminated bent-wood chair design load standards. According to the theory of material mechanics analyzes the laminated bent-wood frame structure strength. And calculating the detection points value comparting test analysis.Research on simulated analying the frame of the laminated bent-wood chair in use of theory, FEA and ANSYS software ANSYS-MULTIPHYSICS program and dynamic analysis program ANSYS-DYNA. a detailed descriptin of FEA and ANSYS whole process was introduced, including the FEA unit type and desity and analysis program.Test is a very important means to inspect the truth of theory analysis and FEA. The research tests the strength of laminated bent-wood chair in use of static and dynamic stress-strain systems. The test method of strength is very advanced, providing technical safeguard of precision analysis of furniture strength. At the same time the research determines the elastic modulus and Poisson ratio by means of stress-strain test method.Comparision analysis was used in the theoretical analysis, FEA and test results and find out the suitable degree of the theoretical analysis and the simulation analysis. It concludes the strength condition according to the analysis results. And the laminated bent-wood chair was optimized design according to the structure strength by use of FEA and ANSYS software.
