Lung And Colon Relative To The Table "theory Applied Research In The Treatment Of Acute Lung Infection

To investigate the directive significance of the theory of "The lung associated with the large intestine" in treatment of acute lung infection, 148 pneumonia patients were divided into normal group and constipate group. Result: In constipate group, 28.57% patients are serious and 37.4% patients are moderate. They are higher than normal group 15.38% and 25.64% respective. Blood LPS,TNF- a ,IL-6 and MDA in constipate group are all higher than that in normal group. This result indicate that the condition of pneumonia patients are affected by constipation and constipation is able to heighten above-mentioned laboratory index. By standard of treatment method, 44 patients of wind_cold pathogen tigntening the lung are divided into XingSu Powder group and XingSu Powder pius Rhubarb group randomly. Although the effect between two treatment methods has no statistical difference(P >0.05), the blood LPS,TNF- a and IL-6 in XingSu Powder pius Rhubarb group are lower than those in XingSu Powdergroup. The patients suffering from both wind_cold pathogen tigntening the lung and constipation are divided into XingSu Powder group and XingSu Powder pius Rhubarb group randomly. The rate of fully recovery, part-recovery and total efficiency in XingSu Powder pius Rhubarb group are higher than those in XingSu Powder group. 46 patients of Wind_heat availing the lung are divided into Mori and Chrysanthemi Decoction group and Mori and Chrysanthemi Decoction plus Rhubarb group randomly. The rate of fully recovery, part-recovery and total efficiency of latter are all higher than those of former(P<0.01), and the blood LPS, TNF- a , IL-6 and MDA are lower than those of former. 58 patients of Phlegm heat obstructing the lung are divided into MaXingShiGan Decoction group and MaXingShiGan Decoction plus Rhubarb group randomly. The rate of fully recovery, part-recovery and total efficiency of latter are all higher than those of former, and the blood LPS, TNF- a , IL-6 and MDA are lower than those of former. The results indicate that we can increase effect in treatment of wind_cold pathogen tigntening the lung plus constipation , wind_heat availing the lung and phlegm heat obstructing the lung on the basic of treatment with syndrome differentiation and adding rhubarb all the time. The possible mechanism(s) are correlating to that rhubarb can reduce the lesion of LPS, TNF- a ,IL-6 and free radical.Animal experiment 1: Rats' lung will be congestive, hemorrhagic and edematous and its blood LPS, TNF- a ; IL-6 and MDA will be higher than those of sham rats if we ligate their rectum. Although the blood SOD is lower than those of sham rats. Treatment with rhubarb decoction, blood LPS, TNF- a , IL-6 and MDA decreased and blood SOD increased. The congestion, hemorrhage and edema of lung lightened significantly. This result indicated that rhubarb can improve the repairment of lung lesion of animal model. Animal experiment2. The Lung_heat Fu Sthenia animal model will be induced by treated with high dose of pulvis bismuthi subcarbonatis and nebulized LPS. Treated with MaXingShiGan Decoction and MaXingShiGan Decoction Plus rhubarb, animals of two groups improve all this symptom. The blood LPS, TNF- a j IL-6 and MDA in MaXingShiGan Decoction plus rhubarb group are lower than those of MaXingShiGan Decoction group. This result correlate with the effect of purgation and inhibiting the enterogenous endotoxin of rhubarb that it can inhibit the inflammation which mediated by TNF- a ,IL-6 and oxygen free radical.
