Jasminum is a genus of about 200 species, several members of which are knownfor their medicinal application in Chinese folklore. Jasminum lanceolarium is aclimbing shrub distributed over thickets at low altitudes from south-eastern China toIndia. Its steams and roots are used in Chinese medicine for the treatment of feverand rheumatic pain. Previous phytochemical investigation resulted in the isolation ofseveral secoiridoid glycosides. For studying it furthermore, we did chemical andpharmaceutical research on J. lanceolarium Roxb..Systematic isolation of the acetone extract of the aerial of J. lanceolarium Roxb.on the basis of modern chromatography and methods gave thirty six compounds, andall of them were identified by the spectroscopic analysis (Including IR, UV, 1H NMR,13C NMR, HMQC, HMBC, EI-MS, FAB-MS, ESI-MS, HREI-MS, HRFAB-MS andHRESI-MS). Among of them, seven were new and sixteen were isolated from thegenus Jasminum for the first time.New compounds were(2S)-5,7,3′,5′-tetrahydroxy-flavanone-7-O-β-D-Allopyra-noside (JM01), (2S)-5,7,3′,5′-tetrahydroxy-flavanone-7-O-β-D-glucopyranosie(JM02), jaslanceoside F (JM03), jaslanceoside G (JM04), jaslanceoside H(JM05), jasminlanoside A(JM06) and Jasminlan A(JM07)。Other known compoundswere(-)-Olivil 4"-O-β-D-glucopyranosie(JM08), jasminoside(JM09), jaslanceosideA (JM10), jaslanceoside B (JM11), jaslanceoside C (JM12), jaslanceoside D(JM13), jaslanceoside E (JM14), syringatesinol-4, 4'-O-bis-β-D-glucoside (JM19), syringaresinol-4-O-β-D-glucoside (JM20), (+) -cycloolivil (JM21),(+)-cycloolivil 6-β-D-glucopyranosie (JM22), syringin (JM23), Z-p-coumatic acid(JM24), E-p-coumatic acid (JM25), ferulic acid (JM26), trans-cinnamic acid(JM27), Betulinic acid (JM28), Betulinaldehyde (JM29), Betulin (JM30),Oleanolic acid (JM31), daucosterol (JM32)β-sitosterol (JM33), 5, 7, 3′, 5′-tetrahydroxyflavanone (JM17), (2S)-5,7,3′,4′-tetrahydroxy-flavan-5-O-β-D-gluco-pyranosie (JM18), Nonacosane (JM34), mannitol (JM35) and (+)-cycloolivil4′-O-β-D-glucopyranosie (JM36),Ten isolated compounds were assessed for antioxidant activity using DPPHassay. Cytotoxicity of these compounds were researched with MTT methods, too. There are eight compounds wree identified by HPLC-DAD-ESI/MS/MS. Chemicalconstituents and pharmacological activity of J. Ianceolarium Roxb. were reviewed.Spectral data of some published secoiridoid glycosides were summed up andanalysized.Seventeen compounds were isolated from the stem of Lobelia sessilifoliaLamb.with various adsordent and methods and identified twelve of them by spectraanalysis (including IR, UV, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, DEPT, HMQC, HMBC, NOESY,FAB-MS and HRFABMS). One of them was new compounds and seven wereisolated from the genus Lobelia for the first time. New compounds were determinedas Oleanol 28-aldehyde 3-0-β-palmitate (LS01); Other known compounds wereβ-amyrin 3-O-β-palmitate (LS02), maniladiol 3-O-β-palmitate (LS03), limettin(LS04), scoparone (LS05), Oleanolic acid (LS06), ursolic acid (LS07), stigmasterol(LS08), stignmsterol-3-O-β-D-glucopyranosid(LS09), Heneicosane(LS10), sucrose(LS11), acacetin-7-O-β-D-rutinoside (LS12)The P.E part of L. sessilifolia Lamb. was analysed by GC-MS for qualifying thevolatile eomoounds.
