Study Of The Eastern Han Population Problem

This thesis study systematically about the problem of population of the Eastern Han Dynasty. The content of this thesis involves eight sections, including the number of the population in the Eastern Han Dynasty; the population distribution of the Eastern Han Dynasty; the immigration of the Eastern Han Dynasty; the demography and administration of th Eastern Han Dynasty; the population law of the Eastern Han Dynasty; the distribution of the surname in the Eastern Han Dynasty; the national population of the Eastern Han Dynasty; the relationship between population and environment in the Eastern Han Dynasty.Through the study, this thesis obtains some new view. First, the most households of the Xun-Han-Shu Jun-Guo-Zhi are true, the number population of the Eastern Han Dynasty changes greatly; Second, the centre of the population is still at the Yellow River basin, but the proportion of the Changjiang River valley has improved in the Eastern Han Dynasty; Third, the massive immigration was caused by war; Fouth, the demographic system was carried out in the Eastern Han Dynasty; Fifth, the government of the Eastern Han Dynasty executed the policy of encouraging birth, of giving preferential treatment to aged parents, ect. Sixth, there were distributing many power clans in different districts in the Eastern Han Dynasty; Seventh, different national population and distribution have special feature in the Eastern Han Dynasty; Eighth, the environment influence greatly the distribution of the population in the Eastern Han Dynasty.
