The transition from "linguistic culture" to "visual culture" is being a global cultural phenomenon, which means not only a transformation of cultural paradigm but also a conversion of ideological setup. At the point of cultural paradigm, "visual culture" as a cultural conformation embodies the priority of "visual conception", in which the aesthetic pursuit of silent sight has been replaced by the effect of amazement and the desire and consumerism have taken the place of rationalism. From the perspective of ideological setup, the transition from "linguistic culture" to "visual culture" has broken through the cultural balance formed at the age of "linguistic culture ", instead, the setup of multiculture composed mainly of the mass culture appears.This paper takes the movie and TV in the context of "visual culture" as research object. As a dominant art at the age of "visual culture", the movie and TV present an inclination to the "visual turning " in the aspects of aesthetic pattern and execution idea, which is from "film drama" to "image", falling into the latent mechanism of seeing /to-be-seen. The change goes back to the body of movie and television--"seeing and hearing", meanwhile it goes towards the crossroad of "seeing and hearing" alone, which is actually contrary to the spirit of "visual culture".From the point of view of the culture setup, the description that "visual culture" equals to culture of post-modernism can't summarize completely the cultural realities of the day in China. The contemporary Chinese circle of movie and television, affected by the cultural policy and humane tradition, has become a multicolored field of visual discourse, in which the theme culture, elite culture, mass culture are working together or fighting one another.This paper chooses the primary four great subjects in the field of current movie and TV-the theme, history, traditional culture and youth icon, and plans to interpret on the texts of them. Under the background of "visual culture", the relation of power between working together and fighting each other is represented as the approval of "syncretism of three members" in the texts of movie and TV. Thus, the "syncretism of three members" has become one of the present reviewing criteria. However, the "syncretism" is a superficial phenomenon. The different cultures of theme, elite and mass will make signs of their ideology and narrative codes in the depth of texts because of the incompatibility of ideology, and will cause the texts to be filled with contradictions and confusions in the aspects of morals, ethic and meaning. The texts of "syncretism of three members" will be ultimately the "construction of heterogeneity".
