After Chinese Characters have been introduced into Japan, they have been taken as a media for recording Japanese language and culture and they also play a very important role in the long history. The functions of Chinese Characters are very important in Japanese, even up to date. The Chinese Characters still constitute half of the total Japanese words and thereof the considerable quantity of Japanese words are the same with or similar to Chinese Characters. This article names these words as homomorphism. We Sino-Japan homomorphism refer to the words using the same Chinese Characters. The origination, existence and development of homomorphism have a long history. In history, Japan has absorbed a great deal of Chinese Characters. After modern ages, Japanese create many words by using Chinese Characters and their expressive meaning. Part of them has been absorbed into Chinese. Linguistic communion between China and Japan brought about a large number of homographs.Although the language system of Chinese and Japanese is different, they have a lot in common especially with regard to vocabulary, owing to the fact that both Chinese and Japanese use Chinese characters. However, because Chinese characters record two different languages and differentiate in origination and alteration, besides, they exist in different countries in which politics and civilization vary greatly, some words indeed bear differences in meaning and using. By comparing and concluding, this essay tries to find out the corresponding rule between Chinese and Japanese. On the basis of the former researchers and with the help of concerned theory in philology, the essay compares and analyzes the 3500 graphemes in ( 《现代汉语常用字表》)and 1945 graphemes in Japanese according( 《常用汉字表》). In addition to that, it also analyzes words in common use in Chinese HSK( 《汉语水平记词汇与汉字等级大纲》) .By comparing, analyzing graphemes and their meaning, through micro-description as well as sorting and illustrating, the essay summarizes the regulations and reveals the peculiarity in the two different languages. This article, by adopting static analysis as well as dynamic analysis, from the two angles of synchronic analysis as well as lexical history, is composed of four chapters. The article, starting to describe and research from researchful history and actuality, Moreover, on the base of these, the essay brings forward content, researchful methods, researchful aim and value of research. In chapter I, It explain briefly meaning of homomorphism, and introduces the actual situation of doing researching in glossary of Chinese and Japanese. In chapter II, with the methods of statistic and classification directed to common Chinese characters both in Chinese and Japanese, I compared the quantity and formation of Chinese characters and especially emphasized graphemes used by China and Japan. The Chinese characters in common use chosen by the two countries are almost identical. Only 88 words among 1945 Chinese characters in Japanese have not been collected in ( 《现代汉语常用字表》). It clearly indicates coherence in commonly- used Chinese characters, which provides available data for people. The number of Chinese characters doesn't exceed the scope of words in common use based on the analysis of Chinese characters in commonly-used words.Chinese characters in China and Japan have been sorted and simplified in modern age. The Chinese characters whose strokes are excessive have been simplified. Complicated variants have been eliminated. So there are many differences in Chinese characters in China and Japan. This paper analyzes and discusses simplifying methods of Chinese characters in Japanese. It is proved statistically that the characters with same form are more than the ones with different form. By focusing on 8822 words in HSK, I analyzes the variation of...
