Yun Xue Ji Cheng(韵å¦é›†æˆ) is a book of rhymes compiled by Zhang Fu during the period of Ming dynasty. Though the system of the Yun Xue Ji Cheng is constituted by the Hong Wu Zheng Yun (æ´ªæ¦æ£éŸµ) and Gu Jin Yun Hui Ju Yao (å¤ä»ŠéŸµä¼šä¸¾è¦) , there is distinctly different system among them. The book laid out its system according to thirty-six letters and "Fan Qie"(å切) which preceded by the Zhi Yin Pian ( ç›´ 音篇) and took on obvious function of Yun Tu ( 韵图 ) because it array its sequence under the order of the initial system. In this paper the author synthetically analyze and textual research the initial, rhyme and tone by utilizing the approach of Xi Lian (ç³»è” ) , checking the sound and comparatively analysis. In this way, we can conclude that its system assimilate strongpoint of the other two books. We oppugn the viewpoint that the book contain the system of Zhong Yuan Yin Yun ( ä¸åŽŸéŸ³éŸµ) by comparing Yun Xue Ji Cheng with many interrelated books. In my view, the phonetic system of the book isn't single, harmonious and integrated but complicated because the dialect of Jiang Huai ( 江淮方 言 ) is its most phonetic system which includes the characteristic of present and past dialect of Wu ( å´æ–¹è¨€)We analyze the worthiness, shortages and errorsin the book in order to provide some materials that can be consulted. Then we put forward some opinions and hope to contribute the study of Chinese history.
