Business Ethics In Contemporary China Evolution And Mode Of Study

In order to make economy go properly and balanced and form a harmonious socialistic society, business ethics is one of dispensable value guides and theoretical resources .In my paper, I try hard to examine the characteristic and evolution mode of contemporary China's business ethics closely in the perspectives of business ethics, history and management, so as to offer a lesson of ethics construction to Chinese enterprises.There are two main sections in the paper. The first section mainly focuses on studying the course, characteristic, cause and disadvantage of China's business ethics evolution. Examples included: That business ethics was politicized was the chief characteristic of China's business ethics in the times of planned economy; From reform and opening to the outside to the early 1990s, we not only depended on ourselves but also used the experience of western countries for reference in probing business ethics; From the talk by Deng Xiaoping during inspection tour South China to the late 1990s, China's business ethics developed rapidly. Some Chinese enterprises started to enhance their qualities, portray their images and show strong self-consciousness on ethics. A large number of entrepreneurs wanted to be well-educated. Apparently, a lot of mangers in state-owned enterprises dedicated themselves to the capital of their enterprises and keep or increase the value of their enterprises. At the dawn of 21st century, ethics-oriented management is widely adopted by Chinese top enterprises. China's business ethics has been taking a creative leap in the process of probing and absorbing. The ethics construction has been in common in Chinese enterprises and shown its individual character. In the second section, I mainly analyze the characteristic, positive effect and disadvantage of different modes of business ethics. Such as, revolutionary mode, entrepreneur's authority mode, mission mode, institutional ethics mode, family style mode, collective mode and localization mode of multi-national corporations.
