Zhou Zuoren (1885--1967), from Shaoxing, Zhejiang province, is an important writer and thinker in the history of Chinese current literature. When he was young, he receives traditional education, then he sailed to Japan and accepted western countries cultures and thoughts extensively. On the basis of development of his literatural thoughts, I study his literatural theory and aesthetic category about "human literature" , "individuality literature ".From "literature of human" to "literature of individuality" Zhou Zuoren has talked about literature as a thinker mostly. Ills early pursuit of literature was in keeping with the national and individual liberation, and was a outlook on literature of utilitarianism. Zhou formed a outlook on conlact with the adjustment of his culture ideology system.Conclusion The study of Zhou need further breakthrough today.
