During the period of "human literature",Zhou Zuoren translated and introduced a number of foreign literary works with "common spirit".This common spirit is modern humanitarian thought.At the same time,Zhou Zuoren combined his own understanding of foreign new literature and Chinese realities,forming a literary thought with the core of "human literature".In order to clarify how the translation activities of Zhou Zuoren in the period of "human literature" promoted the "human literature" and how to promote the realization of modern humanitarianism,the article from the perspective of "translation for the ideal",Zhou Zuoren "people The translation activities of the period of literature were examined in detail.The article first sorts out the translation activities of Zhou Zuoren's "human literature" periodt.The influence of Zhou Zuoren's early translation activities came from many aspects.Zhou Zuoren was involved in the translation of the three major schools in the late Qing translation field,such as Yan Fu's "Evolution of Heaven",Lin Biao's "La Traviata",Liang Qichao's "Five Little Heroes",these different translation style novels have a profound impact on Zhou Zuoren's translation career.Zhou Zuoren translated a total of 58 works in his pre-May 4 translation activities,with sources ranging from multiple countries and multiple authors.In terms of quantity,it is the most in Japan;from the perspective of literary type,the vast majority are novels,especially short stories.From a national perspective,most of these countries are among the “damaged weak people”.Zhou Zuoren firmly believes that by introducing foreign new literature and art,it will help build new Chinese literature and transform the national spirit.Then it analyzes how Zhou Zuoren used translation to promote the occurrence of "human literature."
