Foreign alliance was one characteristic of Japan's diplomatic history, as its times was so much, its duration was so long, its covered region was so widespread, and its influence affected from Japan, East Asia, and the World , through past, present and future. Currently, Japan-Anglo Alliance, Japan-Russia Alliance and Japan-Germany Alliance have become to the history, while, Japan-U.S. Alliance is operating. The history and present provide for us rare opportunity and urgent requirement to regard Japan's foreign alliance overall as researching object. Therefore, this paper will try to analyze Japan's foreign alliance during 20th century comprehensively and discuss its characteristics and generalities, which as the bases of studies of predecessors and scholars with the same ideas and as Japan's foreign alliance overall as object of study from the vision of long time stage of 20th century.As for Japan's durable foreign alliance practice, there was its own thoughts gestation.
