Shi Tao (1642-1707) is the artist of early Qing Dynasty, who claimed innovation and brought tremendous influence upon the middle age of Qing Dynasty and neoteric brushwork. Discourse On Landscape of Shi Tao was considered to landmark of the Phylogeny of Classical Aesthetics in China. Since 1933, it indicated the beginning of the modern research of Shi Tao, that Fu BaoShi published a series of textual research article about the research of Shi Tao. In six decades years, the research of Shi Tao deepened gradually, as developing new material and changing angle of view of research. It started investigation while also paid attention to observe and study history record. And this article is the production of the Research of Painting Aesthetics of Shi Tao. The main attitude and summing-up is:First partBeing the origin of the thought. In the part of longitude, painting aesthetics of ShiTao was born in the environment of Chinese traditional culture and absorbed distillate of Chinese traditional thinking and Chinese painting aesthetics. In the part of latitude, Chinese culture changed conformation and brought on new pulse since the later of Ming Dynasty. Due to came forth the layer of citizen, the concept of flesh and blood was affirmed on the theory and brought out the mightiness force of disorganizition. All that impulse ethic and value standard in the form of rationalism of Song-Ming dynasty, bringing up disorganizition of rationalism of Song-Ming dynasty. Painting Aesthetics thinking and painting practice of Shi Tao was born in the changing of culture and philosophy transformation, tied in philosophy, literature theory and artistic tide. Between the period in the later of Ming dynasty and early of Qing, Shi Tao emphasized the innovation of painting and believed self-brushwork which is the reflecting to age from stating painting aesthetics and developing painting practice, in the scale of regnant brushwork emphasizing model classical painter and attaching importance to technology.Being personal segment. The special life experience and tasting of it in his mind was the direct inducement to shape him complex character. Painting Aesthetics of ShiTao was enrichment, because he was connected with the Ming remain-people, artist and business circles.Being the contrail of the thought. His experience was divided into three part.
