A Study On The Natural Disaster And Its Relief Measures Taken By The National Government And Non-government In The Northern Dynasties

The thesis is to summarize the experience and lessons in order to serve the needs of reality through collection and sorting out the data systematically on the disaster to make out the regular patterns and the distingunshing features coming with the disaster and explain the important events and the crux of the matter in the northern dynasties; and an analysis of the policy, ideas and measures of disaster and famine relief to discuss the relationship of man and nature, to seek the scientific and reasonable system of the disaster relief so as to afford us lessons to the stable social mechanism. On the basis of the aim of studying, We first expound the value of the selected subject and the basic thinking and way in the introduction, meanwhile, we are reviewing briefly the academic history. The thesis is mainly composed of six chapters.In chapterâ… , through the careful textual research on a large number of the documents concerned, we have summed up the basic situation and main features of the natural disaster during the northern dynasties. We analyzed each kind of disaster in detail through timing sequence and space distribution in order to get its feature and law and represented the original conditions of the natural disaster in the northern dynasties, which can be helpful in studying the history of disaster and provide the basic materials for the present disaster.Within 200 years in that time, the major natural disasters occurred 462 times within separate 155 years in the northern area, of which the drought occurred most frequently. Then microthermal climate, earthquake, flood, windstorm, insect damage, epidemic disease, hailstorm, ect. Each disaster had its own respective time and space features and its occurring law.
