Government Action In The Anti-japanese War (1931-1945) Development Of The Northwestern National Government

After the government of Republic of China of Nanjing was established in 1927, the Development of Northwest was risen space agenda. Especially the emergence of the September 18th Incident, Japan had captured three provinces in the Northeast of China and was gonging to invaded inside Shanhaiguan. In the situation, the appeal of developing northwest region become strongly, and the scholars, officials and industrialists focus on the Northwest simultaneously. The overall war of resistance broke out in 1937, and the southeast was occupied. The government had to withdraw to the west, and paid more attention to the strategic position of the Northwest. The development of northwest reached the unprecedented level in this period. In the War of Resistance Against Japan, the activity of development, not merely exerted a positive influence on the development of the Northwest, and played a important role to support the victory of .the War.This thesis uses various kinds of historical materials to describe the reason and course that the government develops the northwest, but the emphasis point lies in probing into the government behavior's function and influence in developing the northwest. The efforts of this thesis reflect the truth of this phase of history, and make a proper appraisal to the government.
