The aesthetic education's destiny of the People's Republic of China (PRC) means that the history and development of aesthetic education for fifties years since its establishment of PRC, whether it has independent Status in education, its course is fairness or twist, which achievements and problems, which cause factors influenced its development and now what about the new conditions? How to alter its destiny? etc. On the round robin problems there are only scattered and general studies, not systemic, great pace and deep going study.Each study has its own theoretical basis. For studying the aesthetic education of PRC one of theoretical basis is the theory about the essence and values of aesthetic education. But now there aren't ripe theory in China about it, for researchers are not yet study the essence of aesthetic education from the binding of the essence of education and the essence of beauty. The essence of education is that it is a cultivating persons' social activity. So then what does aesthetic education cultivate students? What does aesthetic education want to make students have? The crux to answer those questions is that we must make certain the essence of beauty. What is the essence of beauty? There are many theories but no one is acceptable. This dissertation puts forward that the essence of the beauty is that it is manifesting of life naturally and freely, it is blooming of life. So that the essence of aesthetic education is that it one of educations which maintaining and cultivating the vitality of students, its goal is building free life of students, the value is make students' life flourishing and brimming and getting freedom which is the life's happiness.Reviewing the aesthetic education's destiny of PRC based on the view of this, we can find out that for fifties aesthetic education came through earlier spring and quickly turned into earlier winter, experienced ten years' cold winter and after the end of the Cultural Revolution it begun recovery, and little by little come into spring and then summer. In short aesthetic education hasn't independent Status in most times and it is one component of moral education, its development way is tortuous and hard. Why does its destiny be so miserable and difficulty? The first cause is that it were influenced strongly by Mao Zedong's Three Goods and Mao Zedong's education guideline put forward in 1957. The second cause is that Marx and Engels don't put forward aesthetic education definitely. The third cause is that our people's living standard is lower, in most times they are struggling for adequate food and clothing which be in demand the Examination-oriented Education, and in the latter aesthetic education counts for little. The fourth, educational Scholars don't yet make certain whether aesthetic development is one basic component in the all-round human development, whether aesthetic education is one basic part in all-round development education, whether aesthetic quality is one basic element in human's quality structure.
