Architecture Environment And Humanistic Consciousness

Culture is formed under conditions that adapt to its environment, and different national regions and historical period will generate different culture. Every culture has its specific formation and the stable characteristics. The architecture environment design is regarded as a kind of human beings'creation and cultural phenomenon existing in the form of material, and its particular individual characteristic results in its own unique cultural content. It faithfully and effectively reflects achievements and characteristics of different material culture created in the development of human, as well as the resplendence of all kinds of spiritual culture generated in the course of continuous pursuit of human being. Considering its material and the spiritual dual attributes, it objectively records the substantial achievement as well as content and modality of material culture created by overcoming the nature in the development humankind, and objectively gathers the idea, the custom, the interest, the hobby and so on formed in the certain time during human's process of pursuing ideal, thus the buildings are witness of development of human history naturally. Therefore, in terms of development of culture, architecture is a monument of human historical development. As to the character of culture itself, firstly the culture is a form of existence and development only belonged to mankind. As the subject of culture people not only create culture, but also were molded and created by culture. This phenomenon occurs at the culture of building environment obviously, people create the buildings, and the buildings mould people too. At the same time, architecture is regarded as a kind of human culture phenomenon, and it is the science of the individuality and the commonness, the special and general rule about this kind of culture phenomenon's origin, evolution, structure, function, diffusion and evolvement.In this paper "Architecture Environment and Humanistic Consciousness", firstly the author analyzed the philosophical thought of the traditional culture of Chinese and western building environment and expatiated on the soul of Chinese architecture impregnating and growing in entire Chinese culture. The philosophy, ethics, aesthetics and religion of the Confucianists, Taoists, Buddhism had incomparable far-reaching influence on Chinese architecture,so the soul of the space imagery of Chinese building appeared more abundant and profound. The traditional folk culture in the West was different from the east, and the difference was mainly demonstrated in the mythology and religion. Therefore the culture of ancient western architecture was influenced by religion deeply. Comparing Chinese culture of architecture with western, it can be found that the tradition of Chinese architecture culture comes down in one continuous line approximately. Although there is a main thread of development which generally Ignores and antagonizes to the nature as a whole in the west, there are still many great differences in the social backgrounds and concepts in every historical stages, causing the specific artistic characteristic of architecture for every eras, and only through diachronic discussion can it be made. Moreover this article also discussed the architecture environment and esthetic psychology of human beings, to emphasize the psychological emotion characteristic of humanism, and the psychological or physiological relation between human and the environment of the building. Furthermore, the argumentation to the vision factor of the culture of architecture environment was making great efforts to look for people's visual aesthetic form and aesthetic psychological effect. In the last part of this article, the criticism of the culture of architecture environment was the introspection to the architecture existence, and the comprehension to the significance and value of architecture. The deep layer of all controversy about architecture will inevitably be launched in the ontological domain. Contemporary people are perplexed to building activity because perplexing to noumenon of architecture in the final analysis, in other words, for noumenon of architecture is concealed. However, the reason of concealment is not as the building activity of production of the thing in the traditional meaning, and there is more profound social, cultural origin. Social problems, cultural problems are human being's problems in the last analysis,exactly; they are the problems about humans' existence. If it comes to the introspection and criticism to the contemporary building activity, we must expand the horizon to the entire cultural field, make the criticism of architecture a kind of criticism of culture, values and attitude to life; and construction of the humanistic spirit, the humanistic value and the humanistic ideal should become the purpose and pursue of this criticism.
