| During 20 century, especially since 1949, In touch with external reality, a series of changes have taken place in Tus' society. The paper deals with cultural transmission and change of a village named "xin jia", whose residents are mostly Tus. Comparing with a village named "he er jun", the paper describes deeply the process of Tus'cultural development.The paper consists of introduction and nine chapters. The introduction includes cause and meanings, overview of literatures, definitions involved, data and methods, and research design of this study. Chapter 1 describes the background such as history, environment of "xinjia" and "he er jun", establishes a basis for further study. From chapter 2 to chapter 8, the paper makes a dynamical investigation on material culture , language, family, marriage, burial, religion, festival and entertainments. Based on above study, Chapter 9 not only summarize the characteristics of tus' cultural change, but also inquires into the influence factors and its developmental trend. At last, the paper put up some constructive proposal against several problems during tus' cultural developments.
