The Wei-Jin artistic spirit or the demeanor is the hot spot of the academic debate. In 1920s, it had been put forward by Lu-Xun, then has been the focus which the intellectuals pay attention to.Because of the different standard and perspectives about it, we does not come into being identical opinion. It incorporates two key issues, namely, "the hominine awakening" and "the literary awakening ".As well as , the uncertainty of these two standards and the content will have a direct impact on the origin, development and performance issues of the Wei-Jin artistic spirit. This dissertation attempts to make a new train of thought, using identity theory.First, the artistic spirit is defined as the human intrinsic emotion, the inherent demand and up-cohesive force, as much as, that is the love of the freedom ,the life the beauty. Thus we will look upon the Wei-Jin demeanor as the life Practice and the philosophy of life about the Wei-Jin scholar, that is a poetic philosophy --Life is the art or the art is life. In the artistic practice it is a poetic spirit and aesthetic ideal, in other words, this is the Wei-Jin artistic spirit. There is a common point which they long for the freedom, life and beauty. As a spiritual or aesthetic phenomenon, the Wei-Jin artistic spirit has the two latitude of life and aesthetic. If we should review it in the Chinese thinking history before the Wei-Jin Dynasty, then we will find that this spirit has been the pursuit and ideals which Chinese Scholars have craved for. In this dissertation we shall review the germination of the Wei-Jin artistic spirit from the two latitude of the Scholars′identity and the changes of the times in the history of thought , and concretely analyse it from the philosophical, aesthetic, literary, political, cultural and academic fields . find out the interaction and tension between Scholars′pressure of survival and spiritual pursuits ,which have a direct impact on their external behavior paradigm and internal aesthetic tropism. In this way, from the Pre-Qin to the Han Dynasty , the germination of the Wei-Jin artistic spirit will are presented in the theory, from the hidden to the obvious, from the weak to the strong, from the small to the large, in the consolidate of the history and the logic, the reality and the imagination, the politics and the literature, the life and the poetic. This dissertation is divided into five parts, namely, introduction, the first, the second, the third and the concluding remarks.The first chapter, from the Scholars′identity, political identity, cultural identity, aesthetic identity, academic identity in the pro-Qin Dynasty , we revive the differences among the Confucianism, the Taoism, the Mo-Jia ,the Fa-Jia in terms of personality ideals, ideals of social, cultural ideals, aesthetic and theoretical reconstruct and so on, and unearth mostly the pursuit in life between the Confucianism and the Taoism on the artistic life or artistic life. "The Book of Songs" and "Songs of the South" is the most concentrated aesthetic performance in the times. Chapter II, from the Western Han Dynasty 200 years of political power, ideological manipulation of scholars and coercion, we unearth the delicacy changes of the Scholars′identity, and find out that the scholars switch the survival pressure into the reality of compromise ,identity and poetic resistance. This Specific performance is the praise of the unified autocratic regimes and the whimper of the oppression in the heart. Chapter III, in the four periods of the Eastern Han Dynasty, by reviewing the relation of the power balance between the regality and monarchical mother's family along with eunuch, disappearing here and lasting there, we reveal that the chaos of the regality have the suppression and distortion on the scholars′identity, the extreme shortage of political chaos not only leads to the partisans′resistance at the same time, but also makes Scholars′poetic pursuit to be fully embodied in the field of the aesthetic theory and the literature creation . The former is that Huan-tan and Wang-chong attache great importance to the aesthetic thinking of the real, the emotional ,the freedom and the creation, the later is that the Yue-Fu ,the Wen-Ren-Shi, "19 Ancient Poems" have gentle lyric and Jian-An poets chant in a heroic but mournful tone. This moment, "the hominine awakening" and "the literary awakening〞have fully and considerable development. The full onformation of the Wei-Jin artistic spirit or the demeanor will be vividly portrayed.
