Qing Dynasty Tang Selected In This Study

There are a lot of kinds of Tang poetry anthology in Qing Dynasty. Some parts are the carving publications which the suitable persons'arrangement based on the forefather's anthology. Some parts are newly compiled according to one's own poem theory. Other parts are the poem anthology aimed at imperial examinations. These Tang poetry anthology actually could be summarized as two big classes. One of them are special anthology that can reflect the thought of the poem reviewer. The other are popularization anthology to meet the need of teaching beginners. From analysing the arrangement and publication of the Tang poetry anthology in the former generation , studing the distribution on time when Tang poetry anthology compiled and printed in Qing Dynasty, can find out the attention about Tang poetry in different periods of Qing Dynasty . The diversification of the compiling aim of Tang poetry anthology , has reflected the development of poem theory of Qing Dynasty. The note is the important content of Tang poetry anthology, the advocation that"The more learned the better", and the attention to Know generation such as theory such as people", are all embodied to some extent in the note of Tang poetry anthology.The poetic criticism theory of the poem reviewer who have important influence are often evaluated and embodied through concrete Tang poetry in early stage in Qing Dynasty. They set up their own poetic theory while reviewing and criticizing the theory of Ming Dynasty. Wang Fuzhi's poetic theory that the poem act as the history are embodied through his Tang shi ping xuan. He reviews and criticizs Tang poetry of Ming Dynasty on one hand, and develops the theory of Han wei liu chao on the other hand. They want to criticize Qizis'restoring ancient thought of Ming Dynasty, and turn back the newly rising pro-song atmosphere in the poetry creation. The popularization anthology can divide into two parts: one serve for imperial examinations, and the other target at beginner to learn Tang poetry. Though the poem anthologies regarded taking an entrance examination in imperial examinations as their purposes , this kind of poetry anthologies have promoted the Tang poetory in nationwide popularization. Other kind of the poetry anthology to teach beginners spread in later stage of Qing Dynasty that expand the range of popularization of Tang poetry further. The books'used for teaching beginners such as Gu tang shi he jie and Tang shi san bai shou popular wider and have more reader that their influence far exceed the former generation.Compiling and publication of Tang poetry anthology in Qing Dynasty, have reflected the development of the research of the poem in each periods of Qing Dynasty from a side. The assessment and notes and commentary of Some Tang poetry anthologies, reflect to their inheriting and criticism from the former generation. Some anthologies are in order to cooperate with the dispute of the pro-tang and pro-song at that time, or in order to propagate poet's own poem theory, or in order to turn back the drawback of a certain poem theory or creation. The Tang poetry anthology in Qing Dynasty have not merely reflected people's understanding of system of Tang poetry in Qing Dynasty, but also contain the theory discussion of the concrete words. They are important components of poetic theory in that time.
