Rethinking Of Font Style Of Chu State

The second academic researching hotspot has come with bamboo manuscript the Warring Period Chu bamboo Manuscripts Deposited in Shanghai Museum(《上海博物馆藏战国楚竹书》)and a Chu State tomb at Geling Village,Xincai(《葛陵新蔡楚墓》)County focused.Thus the disadvantage of Chu Characters collections is disclosed because short of Characters from these two batches of bamboo slides.It will be great and significant work to supplement and revise the Chu Characters Collections (《楚文字编》)with those newly slides so as to a whole Chu Characters presented.Four Chapters and one bamboo and silk Characters collections appendix are included in this paper.In chapter one,an overview on Characters Collections was focused. The advantage disadvantage,characteristics,and range of their collections bamboo slides or silk script were concerned.Then the purpose, way and range of bamboo slides or silk script collections on this research were analyzed.In chapter Two,basing on systematically analyzing the explanation context from the Warring Period Chu bamboo Manuscripts Deposited in Shanghai Museum(《上海博物馆藏战国楚竹书》),835 newly-supplement Characters were calculated,including 378 shown in GBK set,444 regular scripts beyond GBK,54 original shapes,9 signs from the Eight Diagrams and 30 combined Characters,what' more,269 supplement font styles subjected to the representatives Characters in Chu Characters Collections (《楚文字编》).The newly-presented characters not only bring forward highly frequent characters' shown-up in the history,but reflect the characteristics in use of Chu Characters,which all-sided show the values of the Chinese Characters development history.In Chapter three,298 newly-supplement Characters were statisticed out basing on systematically analyzing the explanation context from a Chu State tomb at Geling Village,Xincai County(《葛陵新蔡楚墓》),85 out of 298 belongs to GBK set with 197 regular scripts beyond GBK set,1 original shapes,15 signs from the Eight Diagrams and 11 supplement combined Characters,furthermore 39 supplement font styles affiliated to the representatives Characters in Chu Characters Collections(《楚文字编》).With the further research carried out and more bamboo Manuscripts shown,some errors will be definitely shown in the phase literature,Chu Characters Collections(《楚文字编》).176 supplements representative Characters and 9 combined Characters were statisticed in the same range of bamboo slides or silk script.Those mistakes,which are like wrong representative Characters,wrong derivation,not corresponding relations between Characters and the original picture and re-showing representative Characters or the regular scripts etc were revised so as to make use of its values as a wonderful Characters Collections.Appendix:Brand-new bamboo and silk Characters collections...
