In the development of human society social conflict and social control is contradictory but important aspect. Our country is in the critical period of social transformation and of system transition, therefore, whether in theory or in practice, social conflict and social control has currently become a major issue.Social conflict and social control is an issue which so many social disciplines concern. The studies on social conflict and social control are fruitful in different dimensions. However, these studies, which need to be developed thoroughly, especially from the philosophical point of view, are the subject of an innovative. The studies would be able to provide crisis response and crisis management with necessary theoretical support. Based on the main theory of Marxism, this paper has made some tentative research on the current social conflict and social control in China, which strives to get a comprehensive and profound understanding on the social control and social conflict.This thesis,which is divided into five chapters,includes the following chapters.The first chapter is an introduction. This chapter describes the basis and significance of the study of social conflict and social control, analyzes the research results of the theorists on social conflict and social control, puts forward innovations and the main method in this research.The second chapter is the philosophical vision of social conflict and social control. This chapter first examines the historical evolution of the concept of social conflict and social control, defines the terms of social conflict and social control from sociology and political science, analyzes of their production, function and limits. From the perspective of Marxist philosophy, this chapter explains the connotation and denotation of social conflict and social control. It shows social conflict and social control is contradictory but important aspect, that is to say ,social conflict is contradictions which are in the opposition phase, and the social control is a phase of easing and solve social contradictions .The third chapter is about our current social transformation and social conflict. This chapter analyzes the relationship between the current transformation and social conflict in China, and discusses the new social conflicts under the framework of the "Central - Local - Market - Society" in our country, points out that the general root of social conflicts is contradictions among power, capital and labor. The paper further analyzes the specific reasons of social conflict, and indicates that group events are the main form of social conflicts currently.The fourth chapter is the type and characteristics of social conflict in the social transformation. This chapter discusses the current basic types of social conflict, including conflict of economic interests, political conflict and religious conflict. It shows two types of conflict of the economic interest: the general conflict of interest and the special conflicts of interest, conflict of direct interest and conflict of indirect interest. This chapter analyzes the nature of the current social conflicts, and considers that most social conflicts are triggered by contradictions among the people, and stresses the need to guard against corruption and other factors that may intensify social contradictions, which may lead to contradictions among the people into contradictions between enemy and ourselves. This chapter describes several groups of social conflict categories: universality and particularity, spontaneity and organization, sudden and accumulation, diffusion and variability; reveals that the current conflict in our society is characterized by conflict of interests and the risk of political conflict is increasing.The fifth chapter is the ideas and methods of social control. This chapter analyzes the transition of the methods of social control before and after the reform, indicates that after the reform and opening up the control problem in Chinese society is that: excessive political control, the legal control delay, imbalance of economic control, weak social organization control, too much ideological control, powerless moral control and belief control. This chapter points out the goal of social control is the promotion of economic, political and cultural fields of sustainable development, presents from the social subject and social object, the macro and micro, static and dynamic multiple dimensions of effective methods of social control, namely: unification of social object control and social subject control, the combination of top-down control and bottom-up control , the combination of formal and informal control ,the combination of positive control and negative control ,the combination of internal control and external control , the combination of the control before, during and after social conflict.
