Agriculture is the base of our society's subsistence and development. Industrialization, urbanization and the growth of national economy also depend on the promotion of the agricultural labor productivity, in other words they all need to improve the agricultural capability to supply more and more surplus output. At present our agricultural productivity is still low, the production and management of our agriculture faces to more and more stress. With the increasing of stress from the interior and exterior of our agriculture, it is necessary for our agriculture to modernize. The core of the modernization is to upgrade our agricultural productivity, and to enhance our agricultural capability to supply more and more surplus products. There are many ways to advance the labor productivity, such as improving the labor's skill in production and management, to accelerate the application of science and technology in the course of agricultural production, to expanse the scale of the input of agricultural production and management properly. On all accounts, a proper land-scale is the micro-base to upgrade the agricultural labor productivity. A larger scale farm than the former in our country can spur-its owner to apply new technology and other new production factor to the agriculture. As a result, proper land-scale can accelerate the advancement of the agricultural labor productivity and accelerate the increasing of the farmer's benefit. Therefore there is not only the theoretical significance but also the practical significance to select this subject: proper land-scale management is the micro-base of our agricultural modernization. This dissertation consists of three major parts besides the introduction . In the first part, with the analysis of some basic theory, such as Marxism theory about productivity, the theory of agricultural modernization, and the theory of agricultural scale management, I draw the conclusion that the core of the agricultural modernization is toupgrade our agricultural productivity and the micro-base of modernization is proper land-scale management. In this part, I analyze the effect of land-scale on how to influencing the agricultural productivity. In second part, from the layer of labor productivity (inclusive the transfer of plow-land, labor and population), the layer of the relationship of production and the layer of superstructure, I analyze the approach, guarantee and exterior condition of the realization of agricultural large-scale management. The third part puts forward that, in the course of realization of our agricultural scale management, we should aim at improving the land output, upgrading labor productivity and also giving attention to increase micro-benefit of the farmer. It's important that, when we take measures to realize agricultural large-scale management, we should adjust the measures to local conditions, and mainly depend on the role of the market system.
