This article systematically expounds the general theory of the determination of the commodity value and the development of the Labour Theory of Value as well as its new problems confronted in the new economy. This article mainly analyses the determination of the market value and the international value of the service products. According to the General Agreement on Trade in Services(GATS), the international services trade was divided into eleven categories. Services in different categories have different characteristics. Does these service sectors belong to production sectors ?Does these sectors produce use value ? Furthermore, create value and surplus value? These questions have obsessed the researchers of economic theories for a long time. In addition, if the service products have value, it will brings about new problems, for instance, how to determine its value and how to interpret the two factors of the service products which could also be seemed as commodities. This article begins with the analysis of the use value of the service products and sets forth that although the use value of service products is special, it constitutes the object of service trade. On the base of the theory of socially necessary time for the production, the market value of the service products is determined by the interplay of the demand value and the supply value, in addition, if on the international market, thus by the international socially necessary time for the production. However, for different types of service products, the way of the determination of its international value is different. At the beginning, this article analyses the evolvement of the value theory, especially the evolvement of the labour theory of value. Although the value theory had become the core of the economic theories since the initial stages of the classical economics, the scientific value theory was the labour theory of value founded by Marx. Marx's value theory sufficiently analysed the production of the physical products and the movement of value, thus founded his system of the economic theories. However, with the improvement of the productivity and the accelerate industry structural readjustment, service industries play a more important role in the national economy. Therefore, the problem about the value of the service products becomes an urgent theoretical problem to be solved. The changes of the external economic environment request the synchronous development of the economic theories which could provide more reasonable illustrations of the new economic phenomenon. This article puts emphasis on the analysis of the way by which the value of the service products is determined. Meanwhile, the article sets forth that the service products not only have value but also can be seemed as production labour which creates value as well as surplus value. In addition, this article analyses the evolvement of the service industries , the relationship between the service industries and the manufacturing industries and the changes of service trade during these years. The development of the service trade requires the analysis the determination of the price, namely the international value, in the service trade. The diversity and complication of the service industries call for the classification of the service sectors. Therefore, according to the different characteristics of the service sectors, the way of the value determination varies. At last, this article puts forward the opinion that the value determination of service production has its own particularity, and different types of service products have different ways by which the international value is determined. The whole article includes three parts with eight chapters except the preface.
