A Study On The Changes Of Economic Institutions

The study of the economic institution change is not only the demand of the development of economics and management, but also that of the deepening of the reform of economic institution of China. This dissertation combines theorizing with case studying, qualitative with quantitative analysis by borrowing and absorbing the theories and approaches of the new institutionalism and Marxism, it has broken through the restraints of these two theories and established the framework of a brand new theory of the economic institution change.1. Organization of the dissertation. Chapter one goes back to the formation and development on the theories of the economic institution change so that it underlies the dissertation. In Chapeter two, the connected factor model of the mechanism changes (five spheres) of the economic institutions is constructed. Chanpers three to seven, based upon the model, focuses on the procedures and principles of the institutional mechanism (the institutional softwares) changes. In chapter eight, the mixed way of the changes of the institutional hardwares such as the property rights ect. is advanced in the light of the total institution model in chapter two. In chapter nine, the influence of the main macroenvironment changes upon the economic institution changes is explored according to the viewpoints of the institutional environment in chapter two. In chapter ten, the case study is provided to prove the main arguments of the dissertation.2. Main contents. For the first time, the new model of the institutional mechanism changes has been established, which forms the framework of the dissertation in the exploration of the formation and development of the theories of the economic institution changes; In the meanwhile, the total institution and the new institution function (sphere f) including the significance of the steadiness and development have been introduced. Through the exploration of the two institution mechanisms of the similar and dissimilar that in the body, the general laws of the economic institution changes have been revealed, and the new proposition of the institutional mechanism changes outweighing the institutional hardware (such as the rule and organization) changes has also been advanced boldly. By absorbing the basic thoughts ofMarxist evolution, the three change processes driven by productivity (sphere p) have been stated; By absorbing the cream of the change theories of the new institutionalism, the three change processes caused by the institutions have been shown. From opening up the research range, a cone-model of the group demand of the less developing countries and an egg-model of the group demand of the developed countries have been built up. Comparing the two models, the huge demand-structure differences of "the master group" in the economic institution changes between the less developing countries and the developed countries have been revealed. The dissertation has also proved the three processes caused by the group demand, and it will warn us that the reforms of the economic institutions must be carried out in the light of the changes of the material and spiritual demand of the master group of people's own country. By theoretical and mathematical approaches, the dividing lines in three situations between the market and government mechanism have been set, and the three change processes diven by the sphere b (the group behavior) have been proven which reveals the objective laws of the connected movement of the five spheres. A new theory on the changes of the intitutional hardwares such as the property rules is advanced, and the correlative restraint conditions and the policy suggestions have been given.
