On the basis of preceding research fruits, the thesis comprehensively applies theories and methods including management science, economics and Scientology in studying the managerial mechanism and the performance evaluation of corporate knowledge capital. It connects quantitative analysis with qualitative analysis, normative analysis with authentic analysis, logical analysis with historical analysis in the research. Its research unfolds in the following ways:1. The way in which knowledge will turn into capital. First of all, it studies the definition, classification, characteristics and its life cycle. Through thorough explanation of knowledge, beginning with production and consumption of knowledge, it analyzes two conditions and the process of knowledge transforming into capital. Then, it profoundly probes into and sums up the conditions and general paths of transforming knowledge into capital.2. The creation, accumulation and expansion of knowledge. It defines the connotation, characteristics and structure of knowledge capital. Then, it discusses the mechanism of creation, accumulation and expansion of knowledge capital.3. The managerial mechanism of knowledge capital. First, it analyzes the process of corporate knowledge flow and the process of transforming latent knowledge into apparent knowledge within an organization. Then, it studies the joints of expansion levels of knowledge capital. Finally, it classifies the modes of knowledge expansion for different enterprises.4. The performance evaluation and operation of knowledge capital. First, it establishes and analyzes the value chain of corporate knowledge capital. Then, on the basis of evaluation of knowledge capital, it analyzes the performance of corporate knowledge capital. It integrates the traditional NPV method with the real option method to analyze the investment of knowledge capital. Finally, it proposes preventive measures against the risks of knowledge capital operation.5. Analysis of corporate core competence from the angle of knowledge capital. It analyzes how to build up an enterprise's core competence from the angle of human capital, structure capital and relationship capital.From the above research, we draw conclusions as follows: knowledge transforms into capital on the condition that knowledge would be commodification, human position would be raised and knowledge would be put above materials; the creation of knowledge capital results from corporate knowledge accumulation as well as its successive optimization; corporate knowledge capital accumulation - changes ofdeposits and increments, would be affected by accumulative motives and would be achieved in terms of human capital, structure capital and relationship capital, which supplement and accelerate each other; corporate knowledge capital expansion falls into inside and outside expansion and keeps to development mechanism, risk mechanism, efficiency mechanism and adjustment mechanism. The joint of knowledge and knowledge capital results from their increment. The carrier of joint is knowledge and method of joint is innovation. The value chain of knowledge capital refers to a serial of activities of its acquisition, integration, innovation, evaluation, operation and final achievement. Knowledge capital evaluation must be connected with corporate performance evaluation. The traditional NPV method and the real option method may be connected to improve the accuracy of risk analysis of investment decisions. Knowledge capital is the fountain of corporate core competence.
