An Employment Perspective,

Employment and unemployment are complex economic and social issues and phenomena. Almost important theoretical systems and thoughts concern about the research of employment and unemployment, and offer different economic interpretations from different analytical methods. However, with the development of modern market economy and the appearance of numerous new situations and issues, the unemployment phenomenon becomes more and more complex and stubborn, so the past employment theories and analyses need deepening and developing. This author researches the employment problem in terms of land rent, interest and property right, then analyzes the employment practice of China, and puts forward the corresponding policy recommendations. The full text has four chapters. The first chapter puts forward the employment and unemployment concepts after sketching the common meaning of employment and unemployment. Then, it sketches Marxism employment theory, new classical-school employment theory, Keynes employment theory, monetary-school employment theory ,supply-school employment theory, and employment theory of modern development economics and makes simply analysis and appraisal on the basis of sketching them. However, these theoretical analyses cannot interpret the fundamental reason of unemployment. In the opinion of the author, one of the reasons of unemployment is the existence of the rent and interest. So it is necessary to study the feature of the rent and interest firstly. Chapter two explores the relation of land rent, interest, and employment. The part begins from the characters of land rent and interest, researches the historical origin of land rent and interest and the relevance between them and employment, then expounds the existence of land rent and interest that is a basic reason of social unemployment. Chapter three explores the relation between property right system and employment. This chapter begins from the evolvement of trade type of the property right system, researches the enterprise property right and public property right, and puts forward that whether the structure of the property right arrangement or not would influence the employment greatly. Chapter four analyzes China's employment reality from the view of employment and puts forward some policy proposals including theoretical and macro-level advices. AH the proposals help manage the unemployment issue and realize ample employment.
