This dissertation mainly elaborates the multiple civilizations' shapes and discusses the origin of multiple civilizations' existing and the tendency of development of civilizations. The dissertation consists of preface, text and concluding remarks. The text is divided into three chapters. Preface mainly discusses value of this selected issue, introduces and evaluates the present situation of civilization's research, creative point and main research methods used in this dissertation. The author emphatically analyzes domestic and international studying state, and on this basis, finds out the studying point, that is the displaying of multiple civilizations and the objective foundation of multiple civilizations' existing. Chapterâ… firstly defines civilization's concept, illustrates civilization's structural elements which include material civilization, spiritual civilization and political civilization and gives a brief account of relations between civilization and culture. Secondly, elaborates the displaying of multiple civilizations. Dividing from the development of historical process of civilization, there are civilization of primitive society, civilization of slave society, civilization of feudal society, civilization of capitalist society, civilization of socialist society. Dividing according to the space of civilization's occupying, there are European civilization, East Asian civilization, Indian civilization, American civilization and African civilization. Dividing according to religion that people believe in, there are mainly Buddhist civilization, Christian civilization and Islamic civilization. Lastly, discusses the origin of multiple civilizations' existing in three ways: the degree of development of multiple civilizations is finally decided by the level of productive force, multiple civilizations are the product which mankind adapt to the varied geographical conditions, multiple civilizations are decided by different history traditions. Chapterâ…¡mainly discusses that multiple civilizations are the development motivity of human civilization. Firstly, discusses that the development of multiple civilizations mutually absorbs and uses for reference from the crosswise and mutually accumulates and transmits from the longitudinal way. The interaction of multiple civilizations enhances the standard of people who create civilization. Secondly, discusses the development of globalization and native civilization, analyzes the relations between globalization and native civilization, illustrates that bringing forth new ideas is the development logic of multiple civilizations. Chapter â…¢ mainly explores to promote the common advance of human civilization in dialogue and cooperation. The multiple civilizations are the completed fact. Different civilizations need to be comprehended and communicated by dialogue. In order to avoid conflict, different civilizations may dialogue on political system, value, culture and religion and so on on the basis of generally acknowledged fundamental principles. Today, the tendency of globalization is more and more obvious, all nations in the world more mutually depend on, human beings are all the inhabitants of earth village. Human civilization is confronting many-faceted challenges which require mankind to jointly solve. These challenges are population problem, grain problem, energy problem, environment problem, impoverished problem, terrorism and so on. The worsening of these problems is offsetting, etching and even withering away human civilization's positive fruits, so mankind must pursue a higher goal in the allowed range of earth natural resources and environment capacity. Mankind should understand and take conscious, automatic control, self-discipline ways to restrain self reasonably, scientifically standardize own action, only such, it is possible that mankind and the earth can coexist harmoniously and permanently.
