3S Technology Research On Land Use Change Survey Application

According to the status quo of land use change survey, the dissertation presented "3S" land use change survey technology, which use RS to get spatial information in large area, use GPS to make up RS image and use GIS to manage spatial data. At the same time, "How to choice and process RS image" and "How to select proper GPS" were discussed in this paper. In 2000, the practice of "3S" land use change survey in Daxing county and Changping district of Beijing indicated that it had more advantages than traditional method, such as shorter work-period, higher mapping precision, lower expenditure and better reliability.Based on traditional RS classifying technology, pattern recognition technology and special demands of survey job, the study putted forward a kind of change parcel recognizing method of GIS&RS Integration which served for improving productization, automatization and intelligentize. This method took polygon as recognizing unit and took GIS information and RS information as classifying testimony. So this method avoided the disadvantages of traditional RS classifying technology, changed the RS&GIS imparity status and made them integration tighter.Some particularities of change parcel recognition were concluded. One was that research objects were ruleless and dishevelled. Another was that research target was reducing Ommission Error of change parcel. The Distance Discriminate Analysis was meliorated in the paper to get better recognizing effect. One was turning the question of change parcel to the question of standard land type. Another was making strict regulation. This improved Distance Discriminate Analysis is not only visual and briefness, but also easy operational. Additionally, it is also a type of improve to classic Bayes Analysis.To make full use of people' knowledge and ideation, the paper selected classifying tree, and designed four kind of assistant algorithm. The first was Cluster Analysis for building tree, the second was Principal Components Analysis for compress information of index, the third was three methods for evaluating index, the last was overlap rate of super sphere for estimating classification effect. These algorithms could direct optimizing of classifying tree.This study designed and realized Auto-Recognizing Change Parcel Sub-system extending previous Land Use Information System. The sub-system used Titan as GISsoftware, Access as Database Management System, Visual Basic & Visual C++ as developing tools. The code, SQL and Meta Data table made the system more flexible and effective.The test data indicated that traditional survey method could be replaced with "3S" land use change survey technology in the plains, and Auto-Recognizing Change Parcel Sub-system could reduced the man' workload of recognizing change parcel.
