Traditional military strength scheduling solutions show some drawbacks, such as lower information degree, lower automation degree, worse collaboration, lower reliability, lower adaptability, lower flexibility, and etc. For these drawbacks, the traditional scheduling solutions can not meet the corresponding warfare needs under information conditions. In order to solve the problems, this paper presents a workflow based scheduling solution. For the purpose, this paper has done the following researching:(1) Firstly, this paper has presented a workflow based military strength scheduling technology. Because traditional workflow modeling methods behaves badly in large-scale application domains, especially in military area, an integrated workflow modeling framework based on conceptual modeling engineering has been presented in this paper. According to the framework, all modelers could collaborate well with each other, and all phases can be joined up naturally and smoothly. With conceptual models, the workflow modeling products could be easily reused. And then based on the framework, this paper fatherly researched CMMS based data-collection, ECA rules based scheduling formatted description, and UML based scheduling formal modeling.(2) Secondly, this paper has done some researching works on VV&A of workflow models. Because the traditional researches paid too less attention to the full quality of workflow models, there should be some drawbacks. For the drawbacks, VV&A of the models has been researched. Furthermore, model checking technology has been introduced into the verification of the models. Based on the researches, the quality of the models can be better ensured.(3) Thirdly, this paper has presented a workflow based integrated military strength scheduling solution. This paper firstly researched the integrated algorithms for planning and the execution of the plan. And then aimed at the characteristics of military strength scheduling, this paper has presented a three-level military strength scheduling architecture, which consist of planning level, implementing level and controlling level. Based on the architecture, a scheduling modeling based integrated solution, which consists of component and framework, has been presented. The solution can meet the scheduling needs under information warfare conditions.(4) Fourthly, this paper has researched the scheduling toolkit set. The set consist of component library, modeling toolkit set and scheduling system.
