Culture is the spirit home of moral and ethical education. As a stable way of life, culture subtly influences on people's idea and behavior standard, content of ethical code through the values of silence. Values are the core of morality,different cultures have different values and different moral. Moral education naturally has culture character, as well distinct cultural background as profound cultural heritage, both rich cultural content and diverse culture. Moral education target, content, method, etc basic elements have certain of culture character, in the process of cultural changes , Moral education through culture selection, cultural inheritance and cultural creating, consciously influence on individual spiritual world in order to enlighten and mold the people, and affect social life and spirit. Based on the connection of natural and ontology sense between moral and cultural, ethics and moral education has always exist in certain cultural spectrum, reflect the culture inherent spirit and value ideal. From ancient Confucian culture to modern "new culture", from the point of the culture of Planned Economy to the culture of Market Economy in China, with the cultural development, moral education has also evolution and development unceasingly. Whether the logic or historial survey, moral education and culture are closely linked, only from the perspective of culture, can we catch the fundamental problem of moral education, and have a relatively complete and profound understanding, especially to the endemism of moral education and future trends. We research the moral education from the perspective of culture, that's not only helpful for the mission about developing moral education theory, but also facilitates the moral education of the discipline construction.At the present time,China lies in the polyphonic cultural pattern of "gods carnival",the globalization and cultural diversity and networking,traditional culture and modern culture,Chinese culture and western culture,these culture have mutual effect which brings the new development opportunities to moral education,also makes moral education faced with more severe challenges. The cultural transformation makes social life change,which occurs to the center of displacement of the inevitable cultural conflicts and severe mental shock. Chinese experience with all kinds of the conflict of Values,becoming confused with the choice of value,they cannot decide to how to conduct themselves and choose which kind of moral Value,they are in the turbulence situation,and lost the living spiritual home.In real life,the cultural issues highlighted sharply and the phenomena about individulism, worship money,hedonism become the common occurance. Moral education have being in the deep crisis about the cultural spirit, which makes moral education generate some perplexity ,such as traditional ethics and modern moral, Local ethics and foreign morals, but real moral education is still weak, behaved in tool, scientific and utilitarian state, wandering.The study makes an attempt to think the cultural problem of moral education from the overall perspective of culture in order to get an ideological framework based on the general cultural character of moral education. Moral education has the innate cultural character, it is the basic premise of the study, thus the first chapter logically demonstrates the relationship between moral education and culture. As a stable way of life, culture has deep psychological structure and values which directly decides the moral content and reflects in the individual thought and behaviour, moral and ethical education has the natural function of bearing, transfering and innovating culture, whatever the subject of moral education, object, content or method, all can reflect the cultural character. The second chapter discusses with historical dimension the dynamic evolution process of moral education following the cultural changes, and analyzs the different cultural logic of moral education during the period of Confucian culture, "new culture", Planned Economic Culture and the Market Economic Culture. The third chapter from the angle of reality grasps the current cultural background of moral education, and discusses the conflicts and profound influence on the individual moral and the way of life due to cultural globalization, diversification and networking. The fourth chapter basically reveals the moral perplexity owing to the cultural background, people lose the original cultural value standard, and has lost meaning in the spiritual world, and inevitably appear the moral problems in real life world, but moral education still stay the original state, utilitarian , it's weak in solving the realistic problem. The fifth chapter points out that moral education should be return the culture, leading the individual spirit, cultivating new world of moral personality, promoting the traditional moral culture of modernity, absorbing the essence of other culture, establishing the consciousness of the native country, in order to undertake the cultural mission.
