In the early days of New China, the party and state leaders clearly defined the great significance about training ethnic minority cadres to solve ethnic issues. Into the 21st Century, the party and the state introduced a number of policies and regulations to safeguard the increasing scale of universities to train minority preparatory students and minority backbone. Developing preparatory education is the great initiative of the party of minority ethnic policies, a need to adapt to the reform and opening up and implementing the western development strategy, which has great significance in promoting regional stability and sustainable national development, and enhancing national unity.Minority preparatory education has made great development under the support of the party and the state and the protection of the relevant policies and regulations. However, with the deepening of the market economy and implementing the strategy of western development, the drastic changes of minority preparatory education have taken place, the preparatory students are dominated by affluent city minority students, the rate of minority preparatory students going back to their hometowns upon graduation is decreasing, the progress of minority preparatory students is being questioned, and thus the development of minority preparatory education is facing many new problems to be explored. Following theoretical models of cultural reproduction and zone of proximal development, using emic and etic, qualitative and quantitative, horizontal and vertical research methods, this paper sorts out the history and development of preparatory education from the macro- and micro-perspective. Based on field research, adopting comprehensive research methods of pedagogy, sociology, psychology, cultural anthropology and policy studies, the paper explores social significance of the case of Minority preparatory education of Minzu University of China, which thorough analyzing some practical problems of minority preparatory education through the angles of common features and the differences of preparatory education in the context of the market economy and western development. Finally, the paper explores development countermeasures of minority preparatory education.Chapterâ… :The part is an introduction part, which discusses the background, the aims and purpose of the study, elaborates the general plan, research methods and the overview of related research results and trends at home and abroad, interprets related concepts such as education, national higher education, preparation subject, preparatory education, minority preparatory education, ethnic classes and ethnic preparatory classes.Chapterâ…¡:Sorting out the history and development policies of minority preparatory education, reappearing the development of minority preparatory education and minorities preparatory education development course of Minzu University of China.Chapterâ…¢:This chapter investigates and studies minority preparatory education classroom, teaching management, students and college social environment of Minzu University of China from the macro and micro perspectives by using observation, interviews and questionnaires and other field research methods.Chapter IV:Interpreting achievements, experience and the main issues of minority preparatory education by using cultural anthropology etic research methods, on the basis of the combination with the questionnaire analysis, presenting the local culture owners' main attitudes and standpoints towards minority preparatory education. In order to effectively solve the problems of minority preparatory education, making a synchronic comparative study of minority preparatory education on other domestic and foreign comparative study of preparatory education.Chapter V:On the basis of the analysis and synthesis of the minority preparatory education of Minzu University of China and sorting out the history and development of minority preparatory education basis, combined with cultural reproduction theory, zone of proximal development theory, achievement attribution theory and so on, the researcher ponders over which minority preparatory education are having the cultural reproduction of the minority elite groups under the goals of the education equity, the progress of preparatory university students, the orientation of minority preparatory education in the context of the reform and opening up, the development of western region, and recognizes the opportunities and challenges that minority preparatory education has been facing in the impact of the market economy.Chapter VI:On the basis of rational thinking, this chapter emphasizes that the minority preparatory education reform and development has the objective necessity, the reform and development of minority preparatory education not only embodies implementing the party's national equality policy, but also is the need of Sustainable Development. Finally, this chapter explores the minority preparatory education development countermeasures from the macro-level and school-level.The significance of this study is to draw people's attention to that minority preparatory education are having the reproduction of cultural capital of the minority elite group, to reveal that disadvantaged minority groups are very helpless in the face of the preferential policies under the goal of educational equity. Besides, the aims of the study is to draw our party and state's attention to the employment security of minority preparatory graduation students to ensure the role that minority preparatory education promotes the development in ethnic minorities and minority areas, to draw preparatory education workers and leaders' attention to scientific orientation of the minority preparatory education in order to achieve better development.At the same time, this study introduces anthropological observation methodology into doing researching minority preparatory education, and tries to explain the reproduction of cultural capital of the minority elite group under the goals of the education equity from the perspective of cultural reproduction theory in part of at present.
