A Study On The Problems Concerning Moral Education In Higher Vocational College

It is a good tradition in China's educational circles to attach importance to moral education for students. Since the reform and opening-up, China's moral education has been improved and strengthened a lot with the implementation of the Party's educational guideline in all kinds of schools. However, with the constantly changing situation, the scholastic moral education faces great challenges and emerging problems of sorts need to be well resolved.Based on the current situation of moral education, "Opinions on Further Strengthening and Improvement of Scholastic Moral Education" and "Opinions on Further Strengthening and Improvement of Ideological and Political Education for College Students" are successively issued by the central committee of CCP, and a series of related policies are put forward. Higher vocational education, as the training base for advanced vocational technicians, has been progressing in recent ten years, however, professional technique are given more emphasis in the education. The study and exploration of the special law for moral education in vocational colleges is still in its initial stage. Various problems and challenges still exist. It is significant to improve the quality and to perfect the system of higher vocational education by means of holding the current situation and problems, making analysis and working out the countermeasures against the problems on the basis of comprehensive investigation. This thesis shows, from the broad sense of the moral education, the status and the problems of the vocational college students, and it also shows the problems in moral education itself. The thesis makes analysis of the cause of formation of the problems in higher vocational education, and draws a conclusion that the solution to the moral education problems in vocational colleges lies in innovation development in terms of the view, the aim, the content, the method and the system of education.
